I’m not hunting down the kid’s IG account for a link, but his photos show Juwan was in A2 for the visit.

Pretty sure Runyan left early.

a little touchy

Actually you completely misinterpreted the walk-on question like Brian did. He was literally asking if the student body walk-on try outs are still being done post RR. That's it. The question was not a comment on the PREFERRED walk-ons, who were obviously evaluated before enrolling (they are a different animal). And it was not a pile-on for Hoke, because Rob started asking me this question when we were all still in the optimistic Hoke honeymoon phase. Rob thought the publicised student body walk-on tryouts were a cool thing to do and was literally just asking if they still exist post RR. It could have been a yes or no answer.

You could at least do your

You could at least do your due diligence, come up with a list of candidates, and put out feelers during the season.

Thinking about our odds with JuJu, I would have preferred that USC prolonged the turmoil by sticking with Kiffin until December. That's only my short-sighted view from afar. USC may have a plan in mind. I'm with some others thinking Kiffin was a short term stop-gap to get through the sanctions. Had he maintained USC as a power without embarrassing them off the field maybe they would have stood pat.

92. I was a freshman when the Fab Five were freshmen. I was there and I'm positive I was still in the dorms. Sitting with a couple Bursley guys who were there as well.

Tear gas

And I wouldn't brag about the lack of tear gas either. South U was tear gassed in 92 the last time we went to the Final Four.

Izzo

I think that's a product of being coached by Izzo. Look how much Izzo cries to the refs. That's his shtick, and it makes some sense that his players emulate him.

Track scholly?

Any chance he is coming in on a track scholarship?

I thought they went to 7NA one too many times that early. They should have spread it out or saved it for later. I've been on the fence about piped in music, but I noticed today how often they piped it in when the band/drumline was shuffling to and from their seats. That's a good time for it. watch for this next week.

I've been going to games since the early 90s, and at times I was actually frustrated with the band a little bit because they used to play the Victors and only the Victors constantly (not just when we scored). I like how the band is playing more songs. Zeppelin sounds great. Even Sweet Caroline is fine. Do they still play Squirrel Nut Zippers' Hell? That was another one that sounds good with the band.

I think I'm cool with the piped in music in moderation, and the band playing a nice range of songs.

Moar snaps

Perhaps the coaches won't admit it, but I'm on the side that thinks they are having problems executing Borges' offense and Denard needs as many snaps as he can get.

Yard line

Absolutely HAVE to have the yard line on there at all times. More stats would be better too, but i'll temper my annoyance until I see how it evolves.

I'm disappointed because my screen broke with just a little bit of pressure in the middle.

YTM

YTM = "yes, that Miami"

Confirmed

I can confirm Brian was on. I didn't catch too much of it, but they were talking basketball topics similar to the post on the front page.

Although Auburn could be a little less desirable without Newton.

Frost

So did Frost's scholarship just open up?

Father Tito played in the League.

Football Game

I know this probably isn't what you meant, but there will be something said at the football game Saturday, and you'll see a bunch of Peace Corps alumni on the field.

Need more data

I'd guess that a mathematical model will get more accurate as more data comes in. It should help as the power conference teams play each other more rather than feast on the cupcakes.

I have to mostly agree with

I have to mostly agree with your lineup. I was a Spector fan early on, he was whipping in dangerous crosses and has a good pedigree from ManU, but I think he has played his way off the starting 11 lately. I also like what I've seen lately from Goodson, but I don't know if I want him to displace displace Boca or Cherundolo. Boca just has too much experience with us. Dolo has some composure on the ball, but he always seems too small to me. I think I would have him starting though. I like Goodson as the first defender off the bench. I also hope Bornstein (and Kjlestan) don't get off the end of the bench.

I think Findley has done enough to earn a start up front, helped some by the fact I really want to move Dempsey back into the midfield. Over qualifying I've had problems picking a central mid out of Bradley, Feilhaber, and Clark. I'll throw in Edu, but I've barely seen him at all. I'm just trusting the masses. But Torres was winning balls, holding possession, making good passes, and just showing the flair that makes a good central mid.I would consider starting Torres vs Australia to see if he can bring that energy for a full 90. If not he should be the 1st mid sub on. Pick the other central mid out of one of the other 4 guys. At the very least Torres will be a good halftime spark sub.

I was actually getting ready to write off our World Cup chances after the first 20 against Turkey. We didn't do much at all and Donovan, Dempsey, Altidore were non-factors. The way we came on in the 2nd half changed my mind completely.
