"We need lizard people too"

Do we really?

A world without this guy seems like a better world.

This

Q. I didn't intend to ask you a question about how you've decorated your office . . . . What in here means the most to you?

A. The pictures of the (six) kids and (wife) Sarah, those mean a lot to me. And I love anything Michigan. My family and Michigan -- those two things.

Amazing! Thank you!
Tickets still available? Sorry to divert the question, but does anyone know if you can get into the scrimmage even if you didn't register for tickets online?

Thanks.
Sign me up

Well sign me up for season tickets. Those 70 emails didn't convince me. But fireworks?? for Miami of Ohio?!?!? That man is a genius.

High

My expectations are high (not that kind of high). They're always high (maybe that kind of high). As they should be for a Michigan football team.

I think we'll either go 10-2 or 9-3. I think we definitely win one of the OSU, ND, MSU gauntlet. I actually think OSU is the most likely win here. Michigan will get better as the season progresses, and the team will still be getting it's feet wet for the ND game. Our problems will be on offense, not defense, making MSU difficult. The team will be clicking by OSU, and OSU's defense should be relatively porous. Their team just plays to our strengths the best out of the 3. Plus, Urb hasn't beat a decent team at OSU yet.

If we go 9-3, it's b/c we lay an egg against a team that we should have beat. Can't anticipate those games. Just hope they don't happen.

Let's not argue

Let's not argue over whether muppets should or should not be deployed.

Let's just enjoy something good happening to a team that we all feel good about. Straight enjoying sports, without criticizing how much we should or should not be celebrating. Let's try that tactic and just see how it goes.

So far so good over here. Though that may be the extended happy hour talking...

Transfer Rules

According to the transfer rules, does he have to sit out a year if he leaves for a team that he'd rather play for? That seems only fair.

He should be able to apply for a hardship waiver if he goes to Cleveland, though. Not because of the 100 mile radius thing, but because everyone who plays for Cleveland is granted an automatic hardship waiver.

Boo

Boo

I was at the meeting...

So I definitely don't have the qualifications to comment on a multi-million dollar budget.

But I will say that I was at that meeting, and DB's presentation left a lot to be desired... He was extremely arrogant, and when his powerpoint presentation had a small glitch (it was set to run through the slides automatically, not manually, which is obviously an easy fix), he just acted disgusted and wrapped up his presentation without offering any time for questions. President Coleman was kind of taken aback when he just sat down, but she didn't really say anything (it being her last meeting as President).

All told, the guy spoke for about 2 minutes, while all the other budget presentations went for around 10 minutes and all the other speakers fielded questions and comments from the Regents and President Coleman.

I've never had much of an opinion of DB because I'd never met the guy or seen him in action, and I'm sure that running Michigan's AD is an extremely difficult job. Well, now I have, and that guy is not the person that I want representing our school in any capacity.

(btw, first post!)
