I played for Coach Miles at Oklahoma State while Gundy was the OC and I can assure you he is not a great football coach. In my only other post on the stie I shared my reason for going to Oklahoma State and I left when Coach Miles did. If you closely examine the Oklahoma State program the more hands off Gundy has gotten the better program has done. He is essentialy Mack Brown 2.0, just a figurehead, since our current is just a figurehead I think we need a more hands on football coach in my opinion.
The last decade he has been nothing more than a figure head. He should not hold the all-time wins record and it's funny how this leaks out immediately following him taking over first place. People knew about this story but sat on it so he could win his game. Eddie Robinson was a man of great class and character and still deserves to have the All-Time wins title. If PSU had a younger more competent coach this never would have happend. That is the reason why Joe Pa should have been ejected years ago. That is also the reason why coaches should not be able to call when they walk away. If you are not able to monitor your program and the things that go on, on your watch then you don't need to be the man in charge.
My team is the Jacksonville Jaguars, but the Dolphins are growing on me because they have Chad and Jake. I wish they'd get rid of those Buckeye Bums though!
