Great point... I wonder if college coaches bring that up with recruits who want to stay south exactly for this reason. "Well, what happens if you get drafted by (insert northern NFL team here)? You are going to have to play in cold weather at some point regardless of where you end up in the pros. Unless you don't plan on making it to the NFL..."

I would rather have that than

I would rather have that than listen to the B1G Network guys making frustratingly stupid comments.... (after Gibbons hits his 6th PAT) "Gibbons has accounted for 12 points today, going 6-6 on PATs and 3-3 on FGs!"

Everybody knows that adds up to 14 points...

I honestly thought you were

I honestly thought you were going to say "JoePa roaming the sidelines for PSU." But your last one could potentially last just as long.

Or even better...... just

Or even better...... just score a touchdown on every first down on offense. Wishful thinking I know, but it would be awesome.

I would think it was because

I would think it was because of the contract they offered him. $5.5 million for one year seems like a pretty good deal for a backup quarterback (I don't think anyone wanted him for a starting position anyways). Plus, he may get to see the field if Vick doesn't hold up all season long.

Couldn't they still come to a

Couldn't they still come to a set position before the ball is snapped and it not be an illegal shift? Maybe I am missing something, verbage perhaps?

Why not?

Why not?

I am also running Chrome and have this problem somewhat frequently. I usually just close the browser and go back into Mgoblog after opening another one - works sometimes, but is not guaranteed.

I would think if you had the intials MGD, you should wear 64 as well....just sayin.

I think doing something like

I think doing something like that would just fuel their anger towards you, or whoever is flipping at the last moment, even more. Probably to the point where they would definitely take it a little bit more personal because you were committed so long. I think Kalis did the right thing and let them know early so they still have a chance to accept other kid's commitments and keep that spot filled. He will have the entire season to keep him focused and forget about what the OSU fanbase is saying about him. I would love to see how hard that kid is going to play knowing that fans from opposing teams are probably going to say stuff to him all game long about this...(I hope they wouldn't, but it is that "state down south"). Could give him some additional motivation, not that he really needs any.

However, we may still get a

However, we may still get a couple of 2013 recruits in that timespan. We may still get a couple extra Hello posts from those recruits...just sayin. Stay positive my friend!

I would say they should

I would say they should recruit better nationally this year (at least in terms of outside of Michigan) simply because many of the top-rated kids in Michigan are already taken. It will definitely force them to go outside of the state more than usual, or to take kids in Michigan that are not rated as high. I agree with the general sentiment that they will always have a hard time recruiting "nationally" though, just thought I would give a different look on the situation.

Scarecrow. Seriously, it's so bad it's funny.

More that come to mind:

Not Another Teen Movie

Almost Heroes - if you like Chris Farley and don't mind Matthew Perry

SuperTroopers (already said but I still agree)

The others mentioned above are all pretty good choices as well though.

Sorry to say this, but the

Sorry to say this, but the picture of your face on Chad Henne's body kind of looks like Ryan Mallet.... the Michigan man cave is pretty sweet though. I would be lucky to have half the stuff you have. Unluckily for me, my fiance is a Notre Dame fan...but she's coming around. Good stuff man!

I am one of the smartest people I know, and I'm still here. Does that count?

That's exactly how my brother-in-law (State fan) is evaluating him. The first thing he said to me this weekend, "I saw Brady Hoke walking around in sweatpants the other day." I guess State fans have higher standards than sweatpants for their coaches. I personally could care less, but that's just me.

The comments on here about

The comments on here about Mryon Rolle are getting old. Florida State has one of the best exercise physiology programs in the country (it may actually be better than Michigan's). To say a kid like that is telling lies is a little ridiculous. I actually have a friend from high school that is going through that same program at FSU, he chose to go there instead of Michigan and I know how much he researched every school he applied to. I do not want to start an argument over this, but you should do a little research before you post about something like that. Neg away, if you want!

Going out on a limb here

I am going to say John McColgan should see a huge jump in playing time... if he is back with the team. I would think Hoke would use the fullback more than RR did, and not just for goal-line or short-yardage situations.

My fiance used to work the

My fiance used to work the Jason Otter basketball camps (those are Jason Otter's logos on the kid's shorts) and this kid used to be there most of the time. She said he is the best ball-handler of any age she has ever seen at any of the camps. She said he is also a very humble, polite kid who doesn't like to show off and is very helpful with others at the camp. Seems like an all-around good kid and a great basketball player. Just thought I'd share that with everyone.

Gatorade

Does the second logo remind anyone else of the new Gatorade G/G2 logos?

Maybe it's just because it has a "G" in it???

Winter Springs

Winter Springs plays in class 5A in the state of Florida, so I am sure he plays against some good competition. But you never know, there are bad Division 1 teams in the state of MI that could get beaten by Division 6 teams.

Agreed, there is nothing we,

Agreed, there is nothing we, as fans, can do about it but support the team. So let's just keep supporting them and focus on the Hawkeyes.

Lost his rhythm..... you mean

Lost his rhythm..... you mean by throwing bad passes, getting intercepted, and not establishing a consistent running game like he did against State? Plus, they were ahead the entire game except for one drive against ND, not close to the entire game as with State. I don't really think he lost his rhythm THAT much against ND, but did stall out a couple of drives so I will give you that. To answer your question... no, he definitely should not have been pulled against ND, you are correct.

There's no denying that

There's no denying that Denard is still a young quarterback. I wouldn't even call him a true quarterback last year simply because he didn't pose a threat to throw, he seemed more like an athlete playing the position. Only time will tell if he takes a step in the right direction after a loss, hopefully he can bounce back against Iowa. It will be interesting to see how Michigan's D plays against Iowa though. If they can stop the run consistently, they should have a better chance against Iowa's passing attack than they did against MSU's. I don't think the Iowa game will be as high-scoring as we all think, even though part of me says it will be judging by what I saw Saturday and Iowa's similar offensive strategy to MSU.

To answer your questions....

To answer your questions.... Yes, Yes, Too many, and probably more than you think..... come from behind against ND, beat an average Indiana team with a couple big plays along the way, late touchdown against MSU, just to name a few. You're trying to compare two quarterbacks whose only comparison should be wins and losses... I don't care who plays as long as Mich wins. Tate may have given us a better chance to come back with Denard struggling and the little time that was left on the clock. That's all I am saying.

Okay...

when has Denard even had to stare down a defender and make a critical pass? once? on the last pass play of the game-winning drive. I wonder how many times Tate had to scramble around for his life last year against Notre Dame compared to this year and Denard. I would agree with most people arguing your post that the offensive line and the blocking downfield has more to do with Denard's stats than his physical talents alone. Was he even touched by a Notre Dame defender on his 87-yard run? I would say our offensive line deserves a lot more credit than Denard does right now. He has plenty of time to throw and hasn't had to make a tough decision all year, except the one already mentioned above with the pass to Roundtree on 3rd down. I hope Denard keeps putting up these numbers and Michigan continues to win, but I am not ready to announce Denard as the end-all be-all to Michigan football. You're talking about him like he's doing it all on his own, which he clearly is not. I want to see how the other two quarterbacks do in this offense against tougher competition before giving Denard any more credit. If he is head-and-shoulders better than Tate and Devin than that is one thing, but not having a means of comparison is hard to gauge his current level. Just my opinion.
