I have to say I find it a little bit shocking that the wings aren't being taught better defense. Lavall Jordan is part of the Butler coaching tree (my alma mater!), Considering some of the other coaches, Barry Collier, Thad Matta, Todd Lickliter, Brad Stevens, etc, you would think that he would bring a great understanding of defense. I wonder if part of it is Beilein's goals of limiting fouls, but I'm not sure what the deal is. 

I also am of the opinion that Bacari Alexander isn't great at teaching defensive technique. I know this year and last year are an easy time to say that, but I have held this opinion for a while. The first time I noticed it was when Jon Horford never knew when to release on his hedging, and he would pick up a foul ever single time he switched on a pick and roll. Then the game against Kentucky further my opinion. In that instance it was the fact that none of the big men could time their help defense correctly, which made it so they never really prevented a pass or a shot. As you may remember, the result was a parade of dunks by Marcus Lee. Anyways, just my thoughts on that.
