MGoPodcast 5.19: Won The Games
[Bryan Fuller]
WON THE CONFERENCE/INDIANA
Incorrect assertions that Michigan won the conference by two games since this was taped before the MSU and Wisconsin results were in. Increase marveling 50%. Standard charge bitchin' session. GRIII: on tear? Can we say that? Stauskas defeats point guard gambit. John Friggin' Beilein. Defense… uh. Could be problematic.
TOURNEY LOOKAHEAD
We are in favor of winning the tourney. Assertions about tiredness are just urban legend. Teams we'd like to see Michigan drawn against (Syracuse, VCU, Cincinnati) and teams we wouldn't (Kentucky, Duke, Arizona). Looking at the conference.

I'd like to see a combined "best of" Indiana/Illinois team and go up against them.
Groce and Creen could beat the shit out of each other.

Beilein vs. Calipari is worth approximately 40 points, so I'd take Kentucky.
Hadn't caught that particular line of BS.
with not wanting to face Kentucky at all, they are a young team prone to mistakes, we are a smart team prone to making the right plays.
We can beat anyone in the country if we shoot the ball normally, we don't even need to be hot, just shot our avg. % and we're in any game against anyone, defense will be the key. If we're in a hot shooting zone, look out, we'll cream people.
Does anyone know whether Brian likes to waltz? It seems like a hugely disproportionate number of songs on this site have a 3/4 time signature. Not that that's a bad thing, it just struck me as unusual.
I know less than nothing about music so that is undoubtedly coincidence.
If you learn just the right amount then you won't know anything about music.
Not face Kentucky? They have looked terrible against just about any competent competition they have played.. We would beat them by 10+

I'm okay playing Kentucky. I know their "best game" is terrifying, but when have they really put it together all year? Cal is like Crean - good recruiter, but pretty poor at getting the best from kids. I mean, if he has immensely talent advantages, he'll do okay. But even his one championship at Kentucky wasn't insanely impressive when you consider he had something like 4 first-round draft picks on that team. Give me a floundering Kentucky program over some random Memphis or NM team.
Kentucky is not going to put together. They haven't all year and have one mre week to do it. Just like MSU's "wait for March."
