Zoltan Mesko's "ZoliOke" June 9 in Boston - Children's Hospital Fundraiser

Submitted by Elise on

Space Emperor (of Space) Zoltan Mesko is taking up his other title, "philanthropist for mankind," in a fundraiser at The Royale for the Boston Children's Hospital on June 9th.  Titled "ZoliOke," the fundraiser is described as a celebrity karaoke event with presumably New England Patriots players filling in the celebrity roles (those are the only celebs he has referred to on Twitter anyway).   Apparently there will also be auctions at ZoliOke that will get you up on stage to sing along with them if you are the highest bidder.

If you're in the area and want to buy tickets, ticketmaster has them on sale for $50+ $6.50 surcharge:

If you aren't able to make it and still want to donate, he's also got a page set up so you can do that too:

likewise, if you're able and would like to be a sponsor, apparently The Goodwin Group is your point of contact.

or @TheGoodwinGroup on Twitter

I know it's not in the Michigan area, but I figured we should do what we can.  After all, kids and their families who need help aren't just at Mott, and we are kind of pretty good at this fundraising thing.

Nice to see that Ticketmaster can justify a 13% surcharge even on a charity fundraiser for the Boston Children's Hospital.  I will not shed a tear the day that I read that Ticketmaster's end is coming.

Kudos to Zoltan, though, for his work on this.
