Thanks for this.

Curious what Zeb's role will be this year. It seems as if we have a need for a guy off the bench who is comfortable with the ball in his hands and can guard the 2. Zeb fits the profile, but it's unclear whether he's ready for college ball, especially since he spent the last year riding the bench at Montverde. Plus, we'll need him ready to go in 2021-22 when he'll be a starter, so any experience he gets this year will be helpful.

I watched a few Montverde games last year and came away with a good impression. He's probably 6'4" or 6'5" now and is a really solid athlete. I was impressed by his playmaking instincts and his ability to get to the basket. He needs to work on finishing around the rim though. His jump shot is a work in progress and is pretty streaky. He's got the length and athleticism to guard 1-3, but definitely needs to bulk up which should also help with his finishing ability. I'm honestly not sure where he projects best, but in Howard's offense I think he could end up being a pretty solid PG option due to his size, athleticism, and playmaking ability that could really make him thrive in transition

I hope you are correct. At this time he has the luxury of running under the radar with low expectations-and this includes me. Interestingly, I think he is better than I think he is...in more than simply a wishful thinking way. We will see what he is made of-the strength of his heart to be under the radar but continue to put in the work to improve. I do not want to see him "bulk up" at the expense of quickness and fluidity.

Your caution about Zeb may be justified, but I think otherwise.  Riding the bench at Montverde doesn't mean much give the huge talent level at that school.  Also, you can see from the video he has great athletic ability.  I'm one of those buying the idea that Zeb will be a bigtime contributor at Michigan.
