WSOC Advances to Sweet 16!
Michigan took down the #4 Overall Seed Texas Tech 3-2 in a Match they controlled from start to finish. TT scored their 2nd goal with a little more than a minute remaining. They now advance to play the winner of Colorado and #1 seed North Carolina.

Huge congrats to the team. Awesome accomplishment after just coming up short in the B1G title game.
If we just played the #4 overall seed in this round, why are we going to play the #1 seed in the Sweet Sixteen? Shouldn't we be playing the #13 seed?

No its not a 64 team Tournament..There are 4 Regional sites with play in games

Yeah, OP is wrong -- it's a 64 team tournament, and we defeated the regional 4 seed. Regional 1 seed UNC would be next.

Ah okay. So we're in the SS facing the regional 1 seed UNC next round.
Looks like if we win next up is either 2 seed USC, unseeded Santa Clara or unseeded TAMU.

We are really, really not likely to win. The distance between the one and two seeds and the rest of the field is monumental. Kinda like in women's hoop. I will be so happy if we do, though.

I was thinking world series of cups and I was imagining a Michigan team that does that competitive cup stacking thing that middle school kids used to do.

Was thinking it might be one of those games when we got an early PK, and Stratigakis hit the post, but she put one in the upper 90 not too long after. Tech didn't mark Wolfe too well on her two headers.

OP.. don’t post about sports you have absolutely zero knowledge of... please. They were not the number 4 national seed, it’s like basketball they’re number 4 in their region. Great win, yes, not vs the #4 national seed though.
