Women's Gymnastics wins B1G Regular Season Title
Will be shown tomorrow on BTN tape delay (3:30 pm), so guess I should have given a spoiler warning. But this happened:
There's another session of 5 teams to compete (in Lincoln), but Michigan's winning their "Big Five" (in Minneapolis) makes them a perfect 9-0 in the Big Ten, clinching not only the regular season title but a place in the preferred later session (4:30 pm) in the B1G Tournament, which will be held right here in Crisler Center next week: March 21. (All-session passes $10, $6 for single session.)

So the girl on the far right second row from the top in the photo above is Talia Chiarelli, her dad is GM of the Boston Bruins. She couldn't be a sweeter or more wonderful girl. She got her first ever 10 from one of the 3 judges on her floor routine recently, I think against Utah. They were excited about the big crowd. The girls on this team are all so nice, I love them!
Absolutely dominant all season. The B1G Championships will be at Crisler Center a week from today. Michigan looks to repeat as B1G Champions.
They were perfect this regular season in the B1G at 9-0 and are 12-2 overall.
Yes, just last weekend at Utah.

for a regular season gymnastics meet. Saw the broadcast. The place was packed. Utah is very big on gymnastics, their team was favored and they were very, very good. But Michigan showed that they belong in that company.
Hmm. Just went to their website to check the facts about the attendance record (whether or not it was for regular season or including tourneys). Discovered that the Utes lost to Georgia today, a ranked team Michigan beat earlier in the season. Interesting.
Maybe we can set a record for attendance for the B1G tourney in Crisler next weekend.
Maybe they could have a talk with our hockey team?
Softball could talk to the hockey team as well.
