As someone who loves UM sports but does not know the intricacies of gymnastics scoring, is this a beat down or just a win? Is it closer to a touchdown victory or a 42 point blowout in football? Obviously anytime UM beats a ranked OSU team, it is cause for celebration and winning by >1.5 points feels like a lot, but I don't really know.

Michigan's team score means each competitor scored an average of almost 9.9 (out of 10) on each routine.

But as you note, ohio's team score was >1.5 points behind.  Which works out to about a overall competitor average of just under 9.7.

So the difference is Michigan had great scores and ohio had meh scores.

So I wouldn't say it was Donovan Edwards busting 2 long touchdowns as a part of a 45-23 beat down in the toilet bowl.

But it wasn't last second Jake Moody against Illinois, either.

Probably think of it something like 2 teams going at it with Michigan eventually pulling away, winning comfortably and by 2 TDs.

Gymnastics in the Winter, that sounds like fun! Maybe it's because I'm closing on 60, but it seems like gymnastics should be a Spring/Summer/Fall sport. Anyways, Go Blue!

I wonder if there is a retired, or bored, statistician out there, who is computer savvy, who could run a historical search and create a counter for each time a Michigan team has beaten ohio state....

It could be added to the banner and kept live.... You know, like the national debt clock.
