Good to hear Devin Gardner as a color guy on the broadcast too. I didn’t realize he had gone into broadcasting after his playing career was over.
Definitely one of my all time favorite Wolverines.

Second half is just starting.
Edwards has looked good, and West Bloomfield has dominated the stats but only leads 14-7.
I personally like Rocco as a D-Lineman. ND got a good one.

21-7 West Bloomfield Maxwell Hairston with a long TD reception. Kid is FAST! And committed to Kentucky.

We won our game 20-13.

Harbaugh has to get Edwards. It’s a shame he couldn’t get most of that talent on the field in that game. Spindler, Harrison, Delinger all going out of state. The best players in the state should stay in state and play for Michigan.

Hairston is the #32 player in the state of Michigan. He’s not one of “the best players in the state,” and I wouldn’t take him over any of our other three WR commits. If Michigan filled their entire class with the best players in the state, this kid still wouldn’t make it in.
Seriously don’t understand this fascination with getting in-state guys mixed in with the star gazers who just want the highest ranked guys, regardless of staff evaluations.
Hairston isn’t a guy we lost out on. He wasn’t missed by the staff. He simply wasn’t deemed worthy of an offer and other top programs seemed to agree considering his offers are a slew of MAC schools and a couple low level P5 schools, with his top offers being Kentucky and Minnesota.
Some kids want to go out of state. Not everyone grew up an M fan with dreams of going here. I’m certainly not going to lose sleep over the #32 kid in the state going to Kentucky. I’m not going to fault top kids for wanting to go somewhere like Alabama or LSU. I’m not going to fault a kid for going somewhere like ND that has a similar academic and athletic profile that we do after he promised a family member he’d go there.
You’re not going to get them all, and it isn’t some travesty for other programs when we pull top guys from their home state. I don’t think Alabama or Auburn were losing any sleep when we got Nico. I don’t think USC or UCLA were throwing a fit when we pulled David Long or Asiasi. I don’t think Texas had a meltdown when we got Filiaga. It happens, and all you can do is go out and get the next guy.

Does Edwards have something that Bellamy is missing? He either is severely underutilized or isnt a difference maker. Clarkstons sophomore running back really outshone him although it helps running behind two guys that we really should have have hauled in.

I expected to see more out of the #3 running back in the nation! Still hoping he goes blue thou!

Agreed, Clarkston's RB, sophomore Ethan Clark, is the real deal.
He had three touchdowns against Oxford on Sept. 25, including a 66-yard run in the second half. Curious to see where he ends up playing collegiately, he's a good one.

West Bloomfield is a quarterback away from being very good.

Clarkston rallied late to pull out a 24-21 OT win. Definitely out-playing their expectations so far this year.

That was an entertaining HS game. If they keep broadcasting them I may watch more of them.

All HS teams get into the playoffs so many of them are preserving their stars in these meaningless games, especially the high profile ones. Not saying Coach Bell is doing this for sure but I have my suspicions.
