So I just got the invite to officiate at the IMG 7on7 again this year. I have been looking at the web site and could not find a list of teams yet...it is a little early.

so we had one of the ref's in our back pocket during the championship game. I'll assume there were a bunch of PI calls if Shane threw incomplete deep down the middle.

Actually 7on7 is really hard. Fast, 3, 4 and 5 star guys with no blocking...hardest part is hand checking or arm barring down the field. What to allow, what not to.
In HS PI is pretty easy, it's the college version that is difficult. Basically, position when ball arrives, who is going for the ball. Both the defender and the reciever have an equal chance for the ball.

Might sound funny, but it is kind of an honor. This game can be much harder and it is much faster, the QB has 5 seconds to pass the ball or it's a loss of down.
Personally, I do enjoy the two days. Meeting all the scouts, players and IMG coaches and Pro's. During the break last year I talked to the Detroit team and Shane for about 20 minutes. Very nice kid..he was kinda skinny last year, but arm strength was very good.
So whatever..I enjoy myself, get to create some cool story bro content.
