Vlad Emilien
I just confirmed with Vlad Emilien, that he is NOT taking his visit to Ohio State for the Michigan vs Ohio State game. This seems to be a good sign, since he plans on announcing his decision on his birthday, November 23rd, the day after the game. Unless Stanford made a big push, he had said Michigan and Wisconsin were his top 2. So it looks like we're in good shape with him down the stretch.

Not only does he fill a need but we can look forward to four years of Vlad the Impaler references.

Pity he won't be coming to UVA where Vlad the Impaler could play in the secondary with Ras the Destroyer (Ras-I Dowling, and an Invisible Man reference for anyone who was forced to suffer through that book in high school.)

He's listed as the 41st ranked safety in the country according to Scout, and is listed as a 3 star. (Not that I care....I just thought he was rated higher earlier).

To Rivals, he is the #18 Safety, and a 4-star.

He was out with an ACL injury, so they were really only going off his junior film. He told me all he's been doing since he was cleared was working out, and getting ready for college.

Vlad is ESPN #19 S with a score of 80, which is pretty good. He will be a good pickup and much needed considering our lack of talent and numbers at the safety position. I'd love for Vlad to impale the heart of the opponent's offense (okay bad pun, sorry).
