I really think fickell cost them that game by not going for it a couple of times. But with that said, we got their best game. Coming out throwing deep was exactly the right strategy after 6 straight games of everyone putting their safety in the box. Our defense was designed to stop Herron and take its chances with Miller's arm, and Miller's arm almost beat us.
I think Mattison made a mistake by spying with Morgan who just isn't athletic enough to stop Miller on scrambles. That's why we need Hawthorne or our Herron to get their heads screwed on right this offseason. Miller is going to be a load, he's perfect for a run spread where he only has to throw to the occasional wide open guy.
