What helmets are those on the thumbnail?  Doesnt look like either ours or their's to me.

Or is that the point - those are the helmets of the new world that's coming?

Sucks to be old - things like this are so confusing.

Why does it need to be powerful, though? If the video is high-paced and has a lot of full-speed action shots then sure, the music needs to match that.

But for a slower, more dramatic and kind of "eerie" trailer, I think a calmer song fits better. Again, it's very dependent on the kind of footage and overall "feel" that the editor is going for.

Appreciate the feedback nonetheless.

Am I the only one terrified for this weekend? I don't know if being in he stadium last year had anything to do with it but, as confident as I am, I am as equally terrified of something crazy/shitty happening in EL this weekend.

But apparently the solution to your concern is to post endless threads proclaiming our inevitable domination and upcoming victory on Saturday and to let the world know there is exactly 0.0% chance of losing, the only realy question is will we win 63-0 or 77-0 and to consider the possibility of anything remotely going wrong prior to the game itself makes you a world-class pussy or worrisome old fart of the first order.

Nobody, not even myself (as prideful as I have been this week), has said that there is a 100% chance we win, if anyone did, they are morons. We are just sick of the small section of the blog that lives in fear of what "could" happen. The same section of the blog that calls people "idiots and arrogant pricks" for doing a little pre-game chest thumping. Just because we choose not to live in a bubble of fear doesn't mean we have to be silent until the game is over. Act how you want to act (worry and fret), I'm going to act how I want to act (confident and ready for battle). What makes you a world-class pussy and worrisome old fart is your continued blasting of people who don't think like you....

Let me know when your class is scheduled to learn about the proper time and place for talking trash about opponents and I'll be happy to assist then as well.  Although I must warn you I am old school (obviously) in believing that it's generally advised to actually accomplish something prior to bragging about it.

A fan stating, "I can't wait to beat Michigan State, they have really sucked this season" = that same fan saying, "We are going to Rutgerz the Spartans into oblivion".....?

What planet are you living on? Our positive outlook for this game is based on the FACTS that have been presented before us these last seven games. MSU is NOT GOOD, plain and simple. This isn't a "they aren't good just because they are State" argument, they just are not very good. If you can give me even one reason other than "this is a rivalry game" that can some how make it more plausible for Staee to beat Michigan this Saturday, I would love to read it. I'm going to hang up and listen.....

1978 - #4 ranked and undefeated Michigan loses at MSU 24-15 to an unranked MSU team

1990 - #1 ranked Michigan opens season at home against unranked MSU and loses 28-27 on a game stolen from them by an official refusing to call obvious pass interference against the MSU DB (who he happened to coach the year before btw)

1993 - #8 ranked and undefeated Michigan loses at MSU to an unranked MSU team

1995 - #7 ranked with one loss Michigan loses at MSU to an unranked MSU team

1999 - #3 ranked and undefeated Michigan loses 34-31 to #9 ranked MSU at E. Lansing

2001- #2 ranked and undefeated Michigan loses 26-24 to unranked MSU in the infamous "Spartan Bob" clock game

And from 2008 to this year we've won exactly one game, that the 2011 "thank you Deleo" where an undefeated Michigan team BARELY beats MSU on the last play of the game.  Other than that it's been all Sparty for the past 9 years.

So let me ask you a question.  When you look at the past (both recent and historically) why wouldnt I be a bit concerned over this game - our present lofty ranking and record notwithstanding?  History would seem to indicate we have a good reason to be a bit reserved, shall we say, in putting this one in the win collumn before it's played.

I understand that over the course of time, upsets are going to occur. Four of those games were won outright, two of those games were stolen from us. Man, I get it, although I have never said with 100% certainty that this game was in hand, I understand where you are coming from. We are just different people, you are understandably more nervous than I given all the games you have lived through. It doesn't make either of us stupid because we choose to feel a certain way. I didn't become a huge Michigan fan until high school, and it become an even bigger obsession after graduating from there. I use to be like you, I use to get so nervous and not want to say anything for fear that I might jinx the team or because pre-game "courtesy" rules say that I shouldn't. I'm done with it man, I am more confident than I have ever been, and I'm going to let that be known. If we lose, so be it, it will suck, I will be heartbroken and I will move on. The season has the opportunity to be very special for all of us, fans young and old alike. I'm just asking that you quit giving people crap because they don't behave like you.

Did you know that over the last 14 games, we are split 7-7. So how far does the history have to go back to make it relevant? I'm from the camp that the only game that ever matters is the one that is played this season. Whether Michigan won 5 in a row or lost 5 in a row, every season both teams start at zeroes before the ball is rolled out and the game is played.

you got a video to embed in the OP...when did that become possible again? I'm more impressed by that than I am anything else, despite the video being pretty awesome as well.

The trick is to use the old embed code - which isn't readily available from YouTube itself. Here are some steps:

1. Use this website - paste your YouTube URL and hit Generate.

2. Copy the code generated in one of the boxes (I usually use the wide screen embed)

3. Click "Switch to plain text editor" in the OP when creating the post.

4. Paste the generated code and switch back to rich text editor.

5. If you see a red box with "Flash" in the middle, you're golden.

Actually, here's to hoping that the new world coming bears a resemblance to the old one where we used to win this one on a fairly regular basis. Still, point taken and a nice video indeed.

In reference to posts above, most of the predictive sites put our chances in the 96%-98% range at last check, so barring something bizarre, I feel fairly confident about Saturday by the numbers.
