This is like the third time he's made some pretty direct remarks about Rodriguez. So, either he's trying to make waves, Rodriguez saran wrapped him into his hotel room during a coaching conference, or they are actually drinking buddies and this is an elaborate ruse.
I vote for the second choice, by the way.

As a USF alum I must say that Jim Leavitt is an excellent coach and a man of personal integrity. He built that program literally from the ground up into an upper tier BCS school with legit chances of winning the Big East and going to the Orange Bowl. He has a legitimate beef with Rich Rod which extends back to their series of games. It was a heated rivalry (which USF won 2-1) and featured some physical hard hitting and punishing football. However the real beef Leavitt has with Rich Rod seems to be that he uses his Snake Oil and Wizard Hat to steer Florida recruits from USF up to Morgantown.
