Unwarranted Gary Harris love
Harris was named one of 15 Wooden award finalists along with Nik Stauskas. Petteway from Nebraska would have been more deserving from the B1G.
Harris has had a rough season, his shooting percentages are way down. His defense has not been very good either although the meme is still strong in the media. Harris is a low efficiency high volume shooter.
Harris has shot the ball 376 times this season with 158 made baskets.
Stauskas has shot the ball 296 times with 145 made baskets.
Stauskas has outscored Harris 485 to 478 while taking 80 less shots!!!

MSU will struggle next year. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't watched Appling, Payne's and Harris' backups. It isn't blinders. Costello, Kaminski, Shilling, and Ellis haven't done anything this year.
I agree on Ellis. He played well against us at Breslin. Kid will be a player.
Based on Izzo and his program I would bet over 20 wins and at worse a 7 seed assuming Gill-Ceaser ends up somewhere else even though all signs point to MSU at this point.
Izzo's better coaching jobs usually come with no expectations.
No guys, you have it all wrong. He's amazing. Hell, he's a lock top-5 pick who'll be an NBA star for a decade. Definitely should leave after this year; hell, get an agent tonight and start negotiating that big Gatorade contract or whatever. I mean, when you see Stauskas and Harris on the floor, Harris just looks like the most amazing player in the world while Nik is, frankly, just a shooter. He needs to stay at least 1 more year, hell maybe 2, just to refine his game to even be in the shadow of Mr. Harris. I actually think Harris has been so amazing this year that any good HS player should think twice about signing with MSU for the next 5 years just because the institutional memory of Harris will place a pall upon any of there accomplishments.
There isn't any point in discussing MSU basketball anymore. They haven't beaten us in a long time, won't beat us for a long time, and we likely won't see them again this season.
