@Umich Collecting Accusations of Assault - Athletes Included
There's a Twitter account formed today, @AtUmich, which is collecting anonymous accusations of rape and sexual assault at the University of Michigan. Some of the accused are athletes.
This is horrifying.
Same here. Very few women I have known well have not been sexually assaulted.
Hope these stories aren't all true, but the fact is most of them likely happened.
2 of the football players in question tweets have been removed. It looks like they delete the tweet if some proof of innocence is brought forward.
Guilty until proven innocent? We need help.
I'm not well versed in Twitter but I think one of the posts near the top of the list says she was stalked and assaulted by another woman.
Right now, I see posts about Gray, Hawkins, and Cheeseman. All three need to be investigated; the charges against Hawkins and Cheeseman are particularly vile, particularly given that Cheeseman has four separate people reporting him. Yes, anonymous reporting can be abused, college football fans (UM included) are verifiably insane, and blah, blah, blah. That's why you investigate. But right now I am resigned to the very real possibility that we have at least two rapists on the team and a third player who needs to attend serious sensitivity training; and frankly, anything I'm feeling is irrelevant next to the need for justice. If you dunked on OSU for Zach Smith, you cannot be anything other than horrified at the mere possibility (and more like the likelihood) that this is true. I'd rather lose games and have a team I know I can root for.
Vincent Gray? Didn't see that last night and don't see it now. Only see Hawkins and Cheeseman. Higdon was removed from last night's post as well.
Gray had one that was removed. The tweet about German Green responding to the Gray tweet is still up.
Can you posta link? I cant find anything of Green responding.
Looks like the post about Karan Higdon was removed. And then they made a post about false allegations.
Now they have turned themselves into the judge and are determining who is truthful and who is lying. And this happened:
We were hacked. All information has been changed and we will continue posting once we can ensure it will not happen again.

The word “shitshow” comes to mind.
Twitter account is now set to protected, they also said they've been hacked.
This is quickly turning into a train wreck with false accusations too that causes them to delete posts.
And while I'm glad they're removing posts, it's getting really dicey with them now playing judge if the information the accused comes back with is evidence enough for them to remove it or not. Absolute mess.
The account has already been abandoned.
Did they say they were abandoning it? They've tweeted 110 times today, which is a lot for anyone.
Check the last two tweets.
Well, they changed their minds and the page is running again, and they just dropped a BIG one.
