Ok. Neg away. I don't know what happened, but in clicking around with the tags, I thought I was selecting a tag. Instead I apparently posted.
Title says it all?

Both of the other MGoBloggers who are Bills fans already know this, but Mark Gaughan is a really wonderful writer and analyst. In this otherwise noteworthy analysis (hint: open in Safari in reader mode if you don't have a subscription) of who comes from where, he mentioned the list goes like this:
- Alabama 53
- OSU 48
- LSU 41
- Florida 36
- UM 33
- PSU & UGA 32

Surprised not to see Oklahoma up here
September 16th, 2020 at 12:59 PM ^
Oklahoma only plays one side of the ball.
September 16th, 2020 at 3:44 PM ^
Well, it ain't like Michigan's producing talent on the offensive side of the ball.
September 16th, 2020 at 1:05 PM ^
Oklahoma just behind with 31 but to Bo Harbaugh's point, only 7 from the defensive side of the ball.
September 16th, 2020 at 2:28 PM ^
That's very helpful, thanks! Where did you see that?

Yet somehow we cannot crack the top 5 in polls.

At least Florida has done less with more, by a little bit.

Edit this comment and add the link in it then. You're not completely dead.

And here I thought our hurdle to the playoffs was getting NFL level talent.
September 16th, 2020 at 12:54 PM ^
I mean... it is? 33 is a nice number, but still considerably smaller than 48 and 53. Puts us in a bag with Georgia and PSU, which - isn't that exactly the second group having a hard time getting over the hump?

It's QB play.
Give us a couple Tua, or Trevor Lawrence, or Haskins or Baker Mayfield or Tyler Murray types over the past decade and we have a few playoff teams.
September 16th, 2020 at 1:15 PM ^
Michigan has lot of lower round prospects compared to Alabama, OSU, Clemson, Oklahoma. That's a big difference between a solid team and elite team.
September 16th, 2020 at 3:21 PM ^
But it's not like we're only losing to OSU. You can pencil us in for at least 3 losses every year, two of those are to teams with less talent on paper.

Just curious, how far down the list is the highest Pac 12 team?
September 16th, 2020 at 2:27 PM ^
you know, he didn't release more than the top 6! I see Laser Wolf has Oklahoma with 31 so I'm not sure where he got it.
I'm guessing "Oregon" with "24".

thank you Brady Hoke and of course Jim

Nearly #1

A little surprise UM's 5th, though I see it'd easily be 7th or 8th.
