Just finished up with my son's grad party and now enjoying a cigar and bit of Angel's Envy on the deck.  Wondering if anyone knows who we're throwing tonight in Game 2 against UCLA?

Lineups haven't been posted yet, but Tommy Henry is my guess.  Criswell closed out the game last night, which doesn't mean he can't start today, but I think they save him for a possible must win game tomorrow

I posted this in the posbang thread but it would be cool if someone who's followed the team all year could write a preview thread or diary. I've only started watching since the tournament.

I was searching around earlier cause I was curious about the same thing and it seems like Criswell was expected to start game 2 going into the series but I couldn't find anything confirming that's still the plan.

I wish I had enough points to post and satisfy your craving... here’s a quick(ish) synopsis.

TLDR version.  Starters are excellent, power and speed at the top of the lineup, holes in the lineup after 4 hitter, bullpen is bad.

All 3 Starting pitchers are very talented, 2 went in the 2nd rd earlier this week, Kauffmann who threw last night, and Henry who will go tonight. Henry has already beat UCLA this year.  the other is Criswell who should be a 1-3 rd pick next year, he’ll throw tomorrow since he closed last night,  They have been called the best 3 man rotation in all of baseball, while that may not be entirely true, it is indicative of how good they are.

1-4 batters all have big league power, lead off hitter Nwogu will be a 1-5 rd pick next year (Pioneer HS), 3 batter Brewer was a 3rd rounder this year, true 5 tool player.  Cleanup hitter Kerr launched 4 mammoth home runs last weekend.  After the top 4, there are a lot of easy outs in the lineup.

They are in first or second in pretty much every offensive category for the big ten, but I think that is an overstatement of this offense as they are pretty limited after the first 4 batters.

The bullpen is less than stellar, they walk a ton of batters.  Starters need to give us at least 7 for us to have any shot whatsoever.

Bakich loves playing for 1 run and preventing big innings.  Bunt, Hit and run, SB and squeeze plus are always on the table.  Outfield will play unusually deep when runners are on base.

Heading to the game in a bit. I believe Henry is getting the start as he pitched 6 innings giving up 2 ERs in the early season win over UCLA. That sort of slots him up to #2. Also Criswell relieving last night seems to be another data point in my belief.

Anyone have a link to a livestream?  Even a radio link is better than nothing.  (I don't have cable or sat., only internet here in the sticks)
