TomVH: LB Sean Duggan Visit
Got this late tonight, so it wasn't in my Weekly Notes post. St. Xavier linebacker Sean Duggan will be visiting Michigan on Thursday. He's bringing his Mom, Dad, and Uncle with him. Usually it's just his Dad, but his Mom wants to start getting more involved, and his Uncle lives in Detroit.
He's excited about the visit, and I think it could be a real positive that his family members are all coming with him. I think he's honestly open with his recruitment, and isn't sure where he wants to go yet.
Tom, didn't you get the memo? No good news is allowed.
Offers: Duke, Ball State, Wisconsin, Boston College, Cincinnati, Minnesota, Air Force, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, North Carolina State, Arizona, Virginia, Oregon, Vanderbilt, Louisville, Illinois, Michigan State
Nice offer list.
The Duke and Vandy offers (and of course Michigan) lead me to believe that this kid has a decent GPA.
Pretty good film for a LB as well.
Hasn't offered yet, but will be a strong contender (maybe even the instant leader) if they do.
I went to St. X and we send a few dozen guys to ND every year - sort of a pipeline up there. (I was one of only two to go to Michigan in my class.)
From a football perspective, ND has been hitting the Cincinnati Greater Catholic League South (4 big all male Catholic schools) pretty heavily for a while now. Additionally, Tom O'Brien (formerly BC coach, now at NC St.) is an alumnus and a good number of St. X guys have been going to BC as well in recent years.
Will be interesting to see how his recruitment plays out - hope we land him.
Have you heard anything about if Notre Dame plans to do anything about Matt James' scholarship? Are they planning any kind of dedication, memorial, etc.? I didn't hear much about him after about 48 hours after the news came out. Just curious.
so you're discounting the skills of Mouton, Fitzgerald, Ezeh, Demens, Bell, Jones, Herron, et al. due to Leach, Ryan, and this guy?
Nonetheless, I hope he enjoys his visit
Sensing sarcasm? I guess not.
