TomVH: 2013 OL Chris Fox Offered
I mentioned on Twitter that this would probably happen, but 2013 Colorado OL Chris Fox was offered today by Michigan after attending camp this week. I spoke with him about the offer, he said he's very excited and loved Michigan.
I'll have the full quotes and everything in the Weekly Update.
For the 2012 class we all complained about him only persuing local talent, Hoke has very kindly offered a national majority for the 2013 class. Now I can moan about him ignoring all the local talent. Thanks coach!
Well, we have to keep up with Dantonio and his national recruting, right?
6'6" 297lbs as a sophomore according to rivals. Holy cow!
It seems like we have had a particular interest in Colorado lately. That can't be good for the Buffaloes lol.
HALOL
Couldn't be any worse than Dan Hawkins was for Colorado.
in offering 2013 kids. Good signs.
Chris moves very well for such a big kid. Watching the highlights I like him more on defense than on offense, but either way he seems to have great potential.
Tom, your tireless efforts are greatly appreciated.
I really enjoy the plethora of constant updates.
Now we just need some "Hello:..." posts, hopefully over the weekend or early next week!
Would be a great addition to the 2013 class. Don't worry ... Hoke will not be ignoring local talent in 2013.
Any estimation on star value? Seems like Brady has been only targeting really high 4 stars (Elmer) and probable 5 stars (Morris).
Let's not allow the Shane Morris hype machine go crazy just yet. Saying he's a probable 5-star at this point is getting way, way, way ahead of yourself. Especially because, if you're the average Michigan fan, you probably only know of about 10 other 2013 prospects.
Marvin Robinson and Ricardo Miller were 5-stars to Michigan fans, too . . . until they weren't.
There you go, being all rational again......
All joking aside, I agree with you 100%. It is way too early to put 5 star status on any 2013 prospect.
Thank you for saying that. Morris has 20 more months to be evaluated before he signs.
You are probably right on Shane not getting the 5th star. He has stated he probably will not do anymore camps and wants to play basketball and baseball next year also, so little chance to get his star rating up at different camps.
uncommited and is likely to be attending camps/uploading/sending out tape. It's likely Elmer has more stars next spring and summer than Morris IMO.
Agree about the hype, but here is my question. For the sophs offered in this case by Michigan thus far (Elmer, Morris, Shallman, and the others). Do they start next fall as approximate 3 stars? Is there a precident for where they would get placed initially?
the size of these linemen were going after. If were going to pound the rock Hoke if def getting the guys to move the pile.
Commenting for the Tom tab.
