Today's Bracket Matrix Update Just Dropped - Michigan 3rd 10 seed
Just wanted to give people a heads up that today's Bracket Matrix update just posted (it always posts in the evening). Here are the highlights:
- Michigan is in 127 of 128 brackets & listed as the 3rd 10 seed
- Not counting conference champions, we are 7 spots above the cut line
- Something to keep in mind, two of those 7 teams below us had horrible losses today: Wake Forest and Xavier. Even if we were to lose to Indiana, they each had Q3 losses today and would have zero chance to jump us.
Reminder that we're rooting for Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Oregon to lose tonight. Going to be a REALLY interesting update on the Matrix tomorrow. Go Blue! Beat the Hoosiers!

Just kidding on Oregon. I missed that they already won today. My bad.

Reply bang?
If we can put a little run together, even better
I really want stay off the 8/9 line but then again none of the 1 seeds scare me in the least. Actually, would prefer not to play Arizona again.
I want nothing to do with Gonzaga or Zona until the last possible moment.
I think it'd be fun to see a Hunter vs. Chet matchup.
This team came a long ways. Glad they kept grinding. Win a couple in the tourney and this season will be remembered very differently.
Get to see my boy Bill Raftery next week…ONIONS!!!
Watch Stanford make a miracle run this weekend!
If you aren’t watching it, this Va Tech - Clemson game is wild!
That was intense. Gotta love March.
Start watching at 7 the minute mark
The goal should be to secure a 10 seed by winning tomorrow. 7 seeds are a lot better matchups than the likely 6s.
But 3 seeds game 2 are easier than 2 seeds!
Va Tech won on a last second three
Michigan is going to the final four, You've heard it here first.

I like the optimism, even if I, well...don't really see it (gotta be honest, I'm having a tough time seeing any B1G teams in the Elite 8 this year).
I’ve seen this team play really well at times, so it’s not that crazy to think they can make it to the conference championship game. If they do, I will be cheering for Wisconsin to make it there as well.
I don’t see a way that Michigan misses the tournament. Regardless of what happens tomorrow.

I...kinda agree? But I'd rather leave no doubt here, of course.
Go Blue! Beat Red!
So I'm curious, at this point how much of a benefit is it for Michigan to keep "moving up" in the seed order? A 10 seed, assuming they get past the first round, almost assuredly earns them a date with a 2 seed in the Round of 32, minus a big upset. And we all know where the 8/9 seed ends up.
Not at all suggesting they should just drop games to stay out of those slots. By all means, go out there and keep winning to try and build some momentum. But unless they go win the BTT, they are probably getting no higher than a 7 seed, and are likely going to have a really tough time just trying to get out of the first weekend.

The 7 seed matchups are far better in my eyes than the 6 seeds, so I’d like to do what it takes to remain on the 10 line (or move up to 10 line). Interesting part of the 6,7s is that we are fairly restricted in who we would likely get paired with given Iowa, Osu, and seton hall are all on those lines. Keeps Bama, lsu as potential 6s and Murray state, Colorado state, and USC as potential 7s.
