As I said at UMHoops, this is a painful interview to watch. I want to slap the guy asking the questions.
He looks so damn nervous (the interviewer not Hardaway). He is just fidgeting, making wild hand motions (even when not talking), pumping his leg, looking down and away from the camera. Plus I can barely hear him.
Thanks for the interview link though. I do have to agree that it is hard to watch.
The interviewer is actually a pretty cool guy, my roomate is working with him on his website (illinoishsbasketball). He puts a ton of time into it and helps a lot of illinois basketball players get recruited.
The credit should go to the guys at www.illinoishsbasketball.com . I asked for more Tim Hardaway Jr. and they delivered.
They are good people over there and worth checking out.

the interviewer wasn't even paying attention to what Tim Hardaway Jr. was saying. It seemed like he had a set of questions that he was going to ask and was looking around and just trying to recall his next question while Tim was speaking. Awkward and awful.
Thanks for the interview though!
The Future of Journalismâ„¢! It's bright!
... is going to be shocked when someone is finally able to convince him that he's white. I'm sure it's been brought to his attention before, but thus far to no avail.
Why don't more reporters chew gum during interviews?
Lost in the ineptness of the interviewer was the fact that Hardaway already has a pretty good head on his shoulders. He came across as humble, introspective, and hard-working. He gave a lot of credit to others and didn't take any for himself.
I have a feeling his dad has really helped him ground himself.
