Threet is so slow he averages 6.75 ypc. Not bad for running on stilts.

From what people were saying about him over the summer, I expected this total lead-footed statue. I haven't seen that at all. I'm impressed with his ability to dodge pass rushers and pick up extra yards.

There was one point where Threet juked a lot and really worked his ass off to stretch out and try to get a first down. He came up a little short, but I think we punched it on 4th down. Anyway, I was impressed that a goofy white guy like him made those moves and proud of his effort on that play.

He made a great move on a play early in the game where it was just Threet and a DE, and Threet juked him with a sweet move and ran for 14.

Sure, the long play is a TD for a Pat White-type, but Threet is already way better at throwing the ball than White's ever been.

Admittedly, if it had been a QB with a bit more running ability, that would have been a TD for sure. I am beginning to understand some of these spread plays now, and saw that on that particular play the QB reads the defensive end- when he crashed down on Minor it opened up that outside lane and Threet was gone. What amazed me was that (and you can see this on the replays) it seemed that Threet had completely given the ball to Minor, then took it back to make the play. I would love to know how Minor had the discipline to not pull it out of Threet's hands.
