Go Blue and Beat East Carolina!
Back on track time-wise. Hopefully it stays that way but in the meantime, apologies for the two posts so relatively close to each other.
On October 7th, Michigan will participate in its first Battle for the Little Brown Jug in three years. In honor of that, here is some film of Mr. Spearman and his senior team winning against the Gophers...
Thanks College Football Historian and enjoy!
Time to get the first of this year's special features started!
With the team coming off of back-to-back Big Ten Championships/CFP appearances and returning the bulk of its superstars for seemingly one last run at the big ring, I decided that I'd be cool to chronologically explore Michigan Football's collection of championship jewelry.
To start, we'll take a look through the bowl participation watches — beginning with this simplistic Lord-Elgin watch from the 1970 Rose Bowl:
It's nice to see Mr. Spearman's life celebrated. Athletes are people, first and foremost, and what we see of them is a small sample of who they are.
I took a hiatus after the bowl game but feel rejuvenated once again. Just placed an M den order for next years gear and have been searching the inter webs for inspiring info. Haven’t been this excited for a team since back, well, I’m not gonna type the year. But we all know the one I’m referring to. The year that took some off of my life.
Go Blue!
Thanks for stepping up again JWG!
We open against ECU? Not long ago I moved out of NC after living in the state for 34 years. Although not as insufferably detestable as App State, EZU (as they are known in NC) is a poor facsimile of an institution of higher learning. The worst indictment of that "university" is that the EZU moniker is enthusiastically embraced by students and alumni.
Go Blue; beat the EZU Pirates!
