There was a drum major in the 70s, Albert Aronheim, that could do back flips all the way to the end zone while wearing the enormous drum major hat. He also wrote/arranged “Let’s Go Blue” with a classmate. I have seen a film clip only once but it was amazing ( he had been a gymnast through middle school). I think they do a back bend now since no other drum major has been able to do the flips.
