Of course, with Les Miles being another notable #63 in Michigan Football history, here's a stub from his senior season of 1975:
There are now Les (or is it Fewer?) Miles until Michigan opens against Western Michigan.
It might be fun to have a countdown of 63 things that Miles is notable for other than wearing #63. Who wants to start?
You mean like how throughout the 80s and into the early 90s, Les Miles' schlong had reportedly been seen in numerous places in Ann Arbor where it perhaps should not have been because of the awkward relationships created?
That's exactly what I mean and this cracked me up. There are just so many things in one sentence that intrigued me:
throughout the 80s and into the early 90s, Les Miles' schlong had reportedly been seen
I'm curious about these "reports" of Miles' schlong. Has it become part of the local lore like UFOs or a Yeti? Are these reports from credible sources, or just the town drunk claiming to have seen it? Have similar sightings been reported in other areas like Baton Rouge or Lawrence? I want to believe!
where it perhaps should not have been
In the back of a VW bus? Posing as truck nuts on the back of a Ford F-150? Why does this make me think of a Magritte painting where objects just casually appear in unusual places?
I've been meaning to thank JWG for awhile for including these wiki links as well. There are always a few interesting tidbits inside.
In Renner's case, I knew he was slight and had been injury prone, but the wiki entry has a picture of him sitting next to Gerald Ford, who appears twice his size. Not hard to see why he missed so many games back then.
Also, I learned there was once a Yale coach named Ducky Pond, which is just awesome.
