LOL at the fan sneaking in @ 1:33, climbing over the fence.
To put the 1951 Michigan 54-27 victory over Gophers in perspective for me personally, this game for The Little Brown Jug took place just 2 months after my folks married.
Is that the voice of a young Keith Jackson announcing this game? :-)

I love that Don Peterson's nickname was 'Jiggs'. It was most likely a reference to a comic strip character (Bringing Up Father) named Jiggs and who was a hard drinking Irishman. Bringing Up Father was an old-timey strip from the early 20th century and was popular enough to spin off comic books, animated shorts, and various live action movies. Discontinued in 2000, it is still popular in Norway today. Have one on me, Jiggs!
