Terrance Talbot?
Everything that I have read regarding the Woolfork injury is that Cullen Christian and Courtney Avery have to step up. But I haven't heard anything regarding Terrance Talbot. Is it that he needs to redshirt, or has he been simply overlooked? So whats the deal? Lets also keep in mind that cornerback is one of the easier positions for a freshmen to come in a contribute.
The scout profile on him looks decent:
Talbott is a true cover corner with great hips and the willingness to come up and hit against top competition level. While some question his height, his ability to go up against taller receivers have never been a problem as Talbott has a great vertical leap and is fluid in going from coverage to battle a receiver for the ball. Talbott lost his sophomore season due to injury but made up for it with a strong junior showing.

But this is specifically regarding Talbott, and why no one seems to be mentioning him.

I agree with the OP. Haven't heard much about Talbott at all.

The mods at Rivals have suggested that Michigan's coaches believe Talbott is a special teams contributor down the road . . . at best.
Reading between the lines, my interpretation is that Terrence was offered a) to get Terry and b) for depth in 3-5 years.
If Talbott is our starting corner, I think we're in serious, serious trouble.

of what i've read. that being said, it's very unlikely talbott starts this year. or any year...

I don't think anyone said anything about starting corner, just, can he contribute; you never know, he could turn into something amazing. We've got to have hope at this point, otherwise we have nothing left.

As opposed to now, where we live in the Forest of Gumdrop Fairies and 5-Star Awesomeness?
This is gonna suck, isn't it?

I'm on Rivals quite often and I have no idea where you heard/read that he is a special teams player at best, how do you or who ever you are quoting know how he will develop? The kid may become a stud in 2 years

Agreed. Even if he doesn't play this year, he redshirts (possibly), works on getting stronger and possibly contributes next year or the year after that. Just because he wasn't a 4 or 5 star recruit, doesn't mean he is going to be a bum and suck.

I hope he does become a stud.
That being said, I'm only reporting what I've read. I read it on The Fort, not in one of the articles.

The fact that he's not being mentioned right now should be some sort of giant red flag for you.

Supposedly Talbott is further along physically than Avery. So...

"Everything that I have read regarding the Woolfork injury..."
Is it that hard to get the guy's name right? He has been here for a few years.

The short thing worries me! It brings back memories of Floyd plucking the ball over boo boo all game long
