I haven't heard any, but then again I've been more curious about Denard's canard and Nick's ... no, never mind. I haven't.

Here's the report on Tate's weight:
http://www.mgoblue.com/football/page.aspx?id=181772
As for why you should not be so concerned about Tate's durability, read:

And:

The take away from those diaries should be that QBs who run are no more suseptible to being injured than QBs who don't. A generic QB still has about a 25% probablity to sustain some type of injury which is way higher than I would have imagined.
The data presented does not speak to the effect of the QB's build on his expected injury rate. It's an interesting question and I'm currently mining for the necessary data but...it's a flipping bitch to get through all the schools.
I could totally use a hand if anyone is interested in helping out. Email me at: [email protected] and I'll send you a chunk of what should be no more than 30-60 minutes of web time along with suggestions of how to get to the websites where the info is likely to be found.

Eh, I would take the MGoBlue height and weight listings with a grain of salt. Athletic Departments have been known to fudge the numbers a little.

weighs more than that

More than a grain of salt?

his listed weight

Maybe the salt grain can work with Barwis to bulk up.

Only if the salt grain is dedicated to the system. Otherwise it wouldn't be fit to come out of a shaker.

Blew up in our faces last night. No one knew about this before (Tate's coach said he had "No idea" about it)--but apparently some unkown, as yet unnamed medical condition caused Tate to blow up to over 500 lbs last night.
Apparently, at "bed check" Tate was missing, and was later found (by police) attempting to hold up a convenience store near the team hotel using a "stuffed teddy bear" for a weapon, and demanded the entire back room supply of twinkies and Ding Dongs.
Right now it is doubtful Tate practices today--but BARWIS was reportedly foaming at the mouth at the prospect of "getting that California pretty boy fucker in shape by breakfast."

Holy crap? Is that really true???? I hope not!!!!

The weight
of Tate
is a serious debate
As we conversate
on whether Tate
can be good or great
and whether weight
relates
to success of teammates,
let us appreciate
Michigan's future fate
looking good
as of late.

to get over the 200 Lb. mark, stay there, and remain as quick as he is.
I've served him at a local restaurant a few times this summer where I tend bar and he doesn't really put away the groceries, either. Not that I am that "stalk-run-to-the-internet-and-tell-all guy" but he eats a fraction of what the other players eat. Anyone who has tried to gain weight knows that getting enough, and the right calories, is crucial
If he does get Barwisized then I think that it will affect his speed/quickness more than anything else (plyometrics) but that extra weight will slow him down, if he can keep it on.
