CPT Morgan and probably some Molson beer. West Coast and the game starts at 330.... Crazy stuff! I just moved up here and it's so strange. It's nice though waking up on Saturdays to football immediately being on. I'm down for that. Haha.

I was a big fan of Bruski's wings in Dupont and The Rock wood fired pizza.

I also once had a "hot dog in a cloud" or a Seattle style hot dog from a street vendor in Olympia, but you can get them at many different places. They sound weird but are crazy good.

Make sure to take advantage of the great nature while you are there. I miss it so much.

Most of my life I have watched the Super Bowl with old family friends from Minnesota whose house is a museum of Twins memorabilia. They have an antique Coke machine and bubble hockey and phonograph records with Ted Williams interviews. Great venue for a sporting event.

But this year will be my first time at a bar for the Super Bowl. Q's on Wilshire in West LA -- it's the Michigan bar. Had to watch the MSU game there but also got to see the Minnesota goal line stand. And Rutgers, but there's no reason to remember that.

I will probably drink water and eat some Quest Bars from my pocket

The last 12 years or so, we've hosted a "Chili Bowl" party. Have three different chilis on the stove now, expecting at least 3-4 more from guests.

we do "souper bowl" parties. everyone brings a soup and I'm putting out some smoked bacon wrapped jalapenos and skirt steak skewers this year. The soups go over really well and I've come across 3-4 truly excellent soups in the 10 or so years we've been doing it. the best being a creamy Reuben soup with chunks of corned beef and sauerkraut...amazing.

Juicing some kale, chard, beets, apples, and spinach to start. Bought 15lbs of prime rib caps from Costco to feed my wife's cunty friends later. I have a few 6'ers of Oberon, (78 and sunny in Newport Beach today), with swill Chardonnay and blue moon for the guests.

Smoking a cheesecake with cherry wood right now so it can rest and chill until after dinner. Then will switch wood over to mesquite and load up the smoker with a couple turkey breasts that are currently brining, some sausages, and quartered pears topped with Gouda and wrapped in bacon. Finally, will be sous vide-ing some ribeyes to then quickly seat and round out the meats. Sides are simple with some mashed potatoes and creamed corn. Next to the 4th of July, this is my favorite cookout (and this year will probably be even better because it's 70 and sunny down here today, and by July it'll be in the 100s).
