In-state 2021 OT Caleb Tiernan names M to top 4
You're welcome for giving you a break from COVID-19 news.
Beverly Hills (MI) Country Day offensive tackle Caleb Tiernan named Michigan to his top 4, along with Northwestern, Ohio State, and Penn State (LINK). Tiernan is a 3-star, the #32 offensive tackle, and #368 overall. Right now all 5 crystal ball predictions are for him to pick Michigan.

In your opinion Magnus, who is better at this point and who has more upside, Tiernan or Dellinger?

To expand your question if I may-Magnus, can you rank the top in-state OL prospects? People freak out if anyone commits elsewhere when there are many good prospects and limited spots.

IMO:
1. Spindler
2. El-Hadi
3. Dellinger
4. Benny
5. Tiernan
And I think all five of those guys are good prospects. I see Spindler and Benny as interior guys, and Tiernan as an OT, while the other guys could play tackle or guard.
I haven't watched film recently on Buckley, Weatherspoon, Anderson, or Banks.

How do you see Benny as a defensive prospect since that’s what Michigan is pitching to him?
Also where would David Davidkov and Drew Kendall rank on this list? I know you’re not very high on Greg Crippen so I’m just going to assume he’s at the bottom.

Benny does not move the needle for me as a defensive prospect. He could be fine and eat up some space, but he's not going to make many plays.
I like Kendall a lot, but I wonder how tall he is. He looks short to me, and that might limit his overall weight/bulk.
Davidkov is a lot like Tiernan, IMO. More refined right now, though.
1. Spindler
2. El-Hadi
3. Dellinger
4. Kendall
5. Benny
6. Davidkov
7. Tiernan
6-foot-7, 280 pounds per 247Sports. That sounds like left tackle size to me.
