Spring game 2009 (Maize Out?!)

Submitted by GoBlue00 on
The spring game is as of now being held on April 11. I think everyone should go to this event and cheer on the maize and blue. Treat it like its a real game(it'll get the players excited for this upcoming season). So I think it would be awesome if all the students went and sat in there original spots wearing maize. Cheer every play like its a real game. Everyone wear maize as it is. Maize out for spring game. I know we got 4 months, but we should go all out. Plus, if you go you get to see the new renovations added since last home game. I don't goto the university for school, but someone who does should make a facebook event and send it to all there friends. "Maize out for spring game".

Sounds like a decent idea. I'm sure the people who organized the block M for the Wisconsin game would be interested in spreading the word for this. I'll be there and i'll be wearing maize!

Students sitting in their regular seats? So, you want them on their couches at their frat house? J/K....well, not really as there were a few games this year where I was disappointed in the empty seats in the student section. Seriously, the spring game will be fun and I would echo the thoughts of the post, that if you can get there, go out and support the program. Hopefully the weather will be nice. Will they be selling Forcier jerseys yet?

I am planning on making the trip over to AA. Is anyone planning on meeting up. I am not a student, nor was I ever, so it would be cool have a spot where other MGoBloggers could interact.

Ya its always been free in past. And you sit wherever. Who wants to help spread the word? Lets show the nation we support our teams no matter what. 3-9? who cares, its michigan, we grew up michigan fans, were not bandwagon fans. Michigan will be on the top again. Wear Maize.

I have been a michigan fan for 15+ years and have yet to go to a game in the Big House, i am def. going to go to this. It would be cool if everyone could meet up somewhere, and is there tailgaiting at this event or not? Cant wait for the upcoming season, looks like we got some promising recruits. I cant wait to see Tate Forcier and Fitzgerald Toussaint as they could be the future for us Wolvering Fans. GO BLUE!!!!

I live in Lincoln Nebraska and I've been to NE's spring game and I've been to Michigan's spring game and I would like to see a Michigan Spring game that is jam "Packed"! Last year was one of the first years I wan't able to be at Michigan's spring game so I went to Nebraska's spring game and it was like a regular game day. You couldn't find an empty seet the the stadium. I love the idea of a maize out and think that the spring game should be promoted and we should want it to be HUGE! GO BLUE!!

Yes. I would love for the spring game to get huge. It would get the players so excited for the season. Well, I havnt went to a game in years(spring game). But i know the players used to actually walk from the practice area to the stadium at different times. Its great for the kids getting autographs. And THERE IS TAILGATING. Its like a regular game by cut the fanbase by 1/8.

I think we need to make sure everyone finds out about this from the board, at least. I've seen another thread about it. I'm going to take the day off work tomorrow and make sure I head out there. Anyone know the time on this business?

Isn't it hard to have a Maize Out with about 3500 people in the stands? Or are we painting the seats yellow?

Thats the whole point CHITOWNBLUE, to get more people to go. Even if we don't fill the stands, wear maize anyway. Why be that guy not wearing maize regardless?

Honestly, I like the Spring game the way it is - free. It's a fun way to spend a few hours, and to see the players in a little less formal environment. I don't WANT it to be like Nebraska or Alabama, where they sell tickets. You get to sit whereever you want in the stadium, in likely the best seats you're ever going to get there (for free), and you're not packed in like a sardine. Don't get me wrong - I love gamedays - but I think the Spring Game works the way it is.

Everyone likes it free. But, even 5 bucks, I wouldn't complain. I cannot wait until this game to see what we got.

The spring game starts at 12:00 on April 11th. Locker room tours are from 8:00 - 10 a.m. and there is a former player flag football game at 10 a.m. All seats are first come first serve, except for the student section. I hope the info helped!
