Softball NCAA Ann Arbor Super Regional dates & times announced

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Now that all the NCAA regionals have concluded, the times and dates for the NCAA Super Regionals have been announced.

2 Michigan will host 15 Missouri in the NCAA Ann Arbor Super Regional next weekend on May 28-29.

  • Game 1- Saturday, May 28 (3pm/ESPN)
  • Game 2- Sunday, May 29 (Noon/ESPN)
  • Game 3 (if nec.)- Sunday, May 29 (3pm/ESPN)

Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 8:30am for season ticket holders and to the general public on Tuesday at 8:30am.

This is your last chance ever to see Sierra Romero play at Alumni Field. You better get your tickets quickly, because the Ann Arbor Regional tickets sold out in a little over an hour.

Michigan played Missouri back on March 3rd and beat them 13-0 in 5 innings.

WD, and others, how does it work for ticket purchases?  I see that season ticket buyers have first dibs, but is Mizzou reserved some tickets are is it all a free for all on Tuesday am?

a great matchup.  Mizzou is playing their best now.  Kind of expect this series to go 3 games.  Hopefully Mich will prevail with enough pitching and hitting.

Their regional didn't have any teams of note in it. Nebraska had a pretty terrible year by their standards and really played poorly down the stretch.

ND was actually a decent team.

Nice, solid info.  I'm glad we got the Saturday/Sunday series, as I'm out of town 'til Saturday evening.  At least I'll get to watch the 2nd day this way.

Related, I'm most of the way through my first draft of a regional review/super-regional preview.  Planning on posting it on Wednesday before I leave town on Thursday.

Just looks strange seeing all those common household names with "James Madison" dropped in there. How in the hell are they good?

NEVER would wish anything bad happen to the Wolverines but there is a dark horse/Cinderella for me to hitch my wagons to if we somehow fall.

Well, they have a winning record against top 15 SEC teams this season (defeated #4 Auburn 3-2, creamed #13 Tennessee 9-0, and dropped a close 2-1 game to #6 Alabama).

So I don't think there's any reason to write them off so easily.

I don't like how the "If Necessary" game has to come immediately after Game 2 w/o any break.  Why not put it at 7 p.m. or so?  I know it may be more convenient for the fans to have it immediately but if they want to have the very best game, give the players a longer break.

Thanks for posting the info WD!

A sweep of Missouri would level our record vs. the Tigers at 4-4. Tennessee would be the only SEC team with a winning record against us.

They kept saying Alumni Field sold out like in 4 minutes. So better get there early if you want tickets.

Missouri looked great in winning their regional. I wouldn't expect us to blow them out again. Let's go ladies and make another run in OKC!

Apparently Missouri's ace had been hit in the face with a line drive just before we played them. She had facial swelling and understandably didn't pitch very well.

I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often given how close they are to the plate.

I also don't understand why pitchers don't want to chuck balls into the opposing dugouts with all the annoying singing and chirping ALL teams do ALL game. I guess it keeps everyone loose.

I am a season ticket holder who called in at 930 this morning to get my seats plus 3 more and they were already getting close to sold out (only remaining was in the outfield). There will be very slim pickings or none at all for the public tomorrow morning. Hail!!

They should have first access but not for everyone fucking ticket. They should have be able to buy the same number as they hold for season tickets. You are alienating loyal fans like me who attend most of the games in general admission. This smacks of the same Dave Brandon era lemon squeezing. It makes me feel like Michigan only cares about big money donors.

It cost me $100 for the entire season. It sounds like you might spend that if you attended most games from GA. Just buy season tickets next year and you might spend less and you'll have a better, reserved seat. I do understand your anger, but my logic is the expense is low enough and I like rewarding the people that have committed as season ticket holders to a "non premier" sport.

Sorry completely disagree. It is complete Bullshit when you are essentially locking out a good portion of your fan base. Not everyone can drop $200 for a pair of season tickets or have the time to attend enough games to make a season ticket worth it. From my point of view this is essentially the sort of games with fans Dave Brandon would pull to squeeze even more money out of our fan base.

If anyone has any extra tickets that come available, I am looking to buy 2.  I had 2 for Sat and 2 for Sun in my cart this morning, but the website wouldn't let me complete the order.  It kept saying unexpected error.  Then the time ran out, and i could never get any more.  I was not happy.  I was going to make the 13 hr drive for a suprise gift.  Not a season ticket holder because we do live 13 hrs away, but anytime the BLUE play anywhere close, we are there!  Like 2 years ago, they played in Layfayette, we were there sporting our UM attire!!!

Thanks!
