Slippery Rock Weekly Update
We all know that the Rock will be coming to the Big House next year, which like it or not, is pretty exciting for the players I am sure.
This week, Slippery Rock (6-1) defeated Clarion by a score of 34-10, outgaining them by a 506-261 total yardage margin Saturday afternoon. Senior QB Nigel Barksdale had another good game, completing 17 of 32 passes for 276 yards and two TDs.
For the season the Rock is averaging 572 yards per game and 47 points per game, and are now ranked #24 in the latest poll.
Next week the Rock takes on Edinboro University (The Fighing Scots) on the road.

Slippery Rock is also first in passing efficiency in their conference as well, averaging a 171.26 rating - that goes right along with being first in yards per completion at 16.79 yards, I would think. They are also first in passing offense at an average of 383 yards per game.

just making that comment based on the conversation that was had on the board regarding the announcement that they were coming to the Big House. I agree with you, I think it is a good idea...
