Semi OT - It's a crime wave!

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4685673 So apparently Jimmah was featuring a black eye this week at practice stemming from a "sucker punch" outside of a South Bend bar. 1) South Bend has bars? Really? 2) They allow emus into said bars? 3. In light of what happened at MSU on Sunday, 1/5 of MSU's football team racked up some serious mileage over the weekend. All kidding aside, I really hope that somebody gets in trouble for this. I'm sure Clausen was not blameless, but I also suspect this stemmed from the UConn loss earlier in the day. There is no reason to punch a college kid in the face, and I do not care what rationalization you may have or how you feel about his abilities as a football player.

1st of all, you should probably read mgoblog before you completely rehash a story that was covered by Brian on the front page. 2nd, regardless of how much you hate him because he is NDs quaterback, he was sucker-punched while leaving the bar with his family. No one deserves that.

The rumor floating around campus is that Clausen was not completely blameless. According to said rumor (which I heard 3rd hand and absolutely can't confirm): ~Someone bumped into Clausen's girlfriend ~Clausen pushed/shoved the individual ~Individual punched Clausen Take it for what it's worth.

1st of all, your first paragraph wasn't needed, so how about you leave it out next time and stick to things that are relevant. I am going to assume you are the type of person who likes to hear themselves speak. Second, He wasn't ragging on Clausen. If you read carefully, "There is no reason to punch a college kid in the face, and I do not care what rationalization you may have or how you feel about his abilities as a football player". I believe he was saying that the incident might have been caused by someone pissed about the Uconn game.

Yeah, probably should have included the /sarcasm tag, given how many posts were made about MSU fights etc. I actually like Jimmah as a player - I think he gets a bum rap but has played really well considering just how many times he has put this team in a position to win and his defense/special teams let him down.
