Semi-OT Detroit has a new sports radio station

Submitted by Michigan Eaglet on

I didn't see anything posted about this yet, but today at 3 PM, 105.1 officially became a sports news radio station. They become the second FM sports radio in metro detroit and seem to be pretty good from what I can tell. They just had Lloyd Carr on for about 20-30 minutes talking about Michigan, the day Bo hired him, and several other topics. I just thought I'd pass this along to the MGoFaithful.

Or was Jason Dixon, the new Program Director, just a little more than awkward in his introduction? If Drew Lane works for him, someone must be planning a "Private Parts" sequel.

Competition is a good thing, but I doubt it'll be much better, if at all. I have heard very few productive or insightful comments from radio hosts over the years. Interviews are the only thing mildly interesting to me
