There are a couple people I would put above Hollowell, such as Justice Hayes and perhaps Jermal Hosley. I don't think Hayes would be a great fit at Michigan, but he's a good back.

I realize that ultimately it doesn't matter if we land a 4/5* from in state, or from Florida or Texas. I just wish it were automatic that the top kids in the state went to UM. That way we'd have a few good recruits in the bad every year, and all out-of-state success would just be icing on the cake.

Not all 4-5 stars in CA go to USC. (UCLA, Stanford, et. al.) Not all 4-5 stars in TX go to Texas. (A&M, SMU, et. al.) Not all 4-5 stars in FL go to UF (FSU, Miami, et. al.) Not all 4-5 stars in OH go to OSU (Cinci, UM, et. al.) I can't say I'm a State fan in any way, but if a kid grew up in an MSU home, of course he'd be like State. We'll get who we should get. I do trust RR & other recruiters.

At this point, it is probably a bit early to give up on guys like Thomas as potential UM recruits. Sure, the chips are leaning toward MSU, but ultimately kids will go where they think they can play and succeed. I'm sure Renaissance will push kids to MSU, but most of them also realize that you are not going to win Big 10 titles or compete nationally at MSU. Sure, UM is down now, but history shows that it will be a player nationally far sooner than MSU. And to be fair, the exact opposite is true in basketball.

He goes to my school, and is real kgood friends with my sister. One of them goes to Michigan. He's spartan dieheart, but i get the feeling from him if he gets a sec offer hes gone. he tries to be like nmark ingram, but his cockiness is way too high for him to be good. he'll end up being average if he doesnt get humble soon.

I had a hard time following your post, so I may have misunderstood something, but I know a lot of great okayers who are cocky. In fact, I think most great players have a certain swagger that sets them apart from the average player.

The good thing for our recruiting of Thomas is that he could literally step right in and start. I mean, that's not an easy thing for a linebacker to do, but we lose two 5th year seniors at ILB next year, Ezeh and Mouton. Hopefully the depth chart is enticing.

Michigan has a great shot at landing Thomas. RR will put on the full court press on the kid. Regardless of what high school an kid goes to or which college his coach is a fan of, U of M will always get a good look by all the top prospects from Michigan.
