Scott Frost Would Rather Be Playing Any Other Team From Michigan

Submitted by BursleyHall82 on

Just saw this quote that he gave earlier this week to the Orlando Sentlnel:

"If you'd ask me whether I'd like to play Michigan or some other team in Michigan that might not be ranked in the top 10 in the country, I might not give you an honest answer on that," Frost said with a sly grin. "But listen, this game is on the schedule. I don't want our kids to be afraid to play anybody. I think our guys are excited to go up there and look that challenge in the face and take swings at them."

So, in one breath he says he's afraid to play Michigan, and in the next breath he says he doesn't want his kids to be afraid to play Michigan.

Sorry, Scotty, but you aren't coming up here to play Ferris State or Hillsdale.

And listen to your coach, boys. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

You'll find the article here.

That's like the least douchey Scott Frost quote that's been posted here all week.

It is going to be a long season if we are going to do like hate week for every opponent. But maybe also a fun one...

After 19 years, hardcore Wolverines still thirst to see Frost punished this Saturday in Ann Arbor.

"That's fine if it's a narrative. I don't think my players are going to care at all," Frost said. "There are probably some people that care."

This is all just fun and games, of course, until someone loses 83-0. Which is not to say mighty Michigan would run it up on a bunch of Central Floridians who were in diapers in 1997.

Cue something I read on MLive the other day:

"I'm often reminded of an old story I heard about Harbaugh's first season as the head coach at San Diego back in 2006. Early that year, his squad got walloped by a team and coach who had zero interest in taking their feet off the gas pedal.

"Afterward, the opposing head coach met Harbaugh at midfield and told him, 'It's not my job to stop my team, that's your job -- recruit better players.' This is how Harbaugh coaches.
