Scholarships and APR
So with more transfers our APR will fall. From reading Brian's last few things about APR, it appears we are getting uncomfortably close to 925. If we were to go under 925, how many scholarships would be taken away? I know we have 85 normally. Would they take one away every certain number of points? I'm just confused right now about how this works. Hopefully someone know the answer.

The APR is fine, it includes more than just football.

I thought each sport had it's own APR score.

I was wondering the same thing. As ShockFX says, we're still on the good side of 925, but not sure how close anymore.
You can get the gist of the system here

is the day i'll even start paying attention to Michigan's APR.

I read somewhere that South Florida has the worst APR but they apply for some kind of waiver and no scholarships are taken.

They've gotten 2 waivers. AND the APR went DOWN after the first one. So the APR is kind of toothless.

Whether there's a rational basis for it or not, as fans we like to hold Michigan to a higher standard than other schools - hard to justify that while our APR is nosediving.

Only two of those that I can think of are from academic issues. The rest of the APR is not, therefore means nothing to "higher standards."

you really should have linked that to something readable. the four clicks i have to use to open it is slightly annoying. it was at least funny though.

That said, what is the total number of recruits we can bring in now? I would assume a few other people will decide Blue is not the right color for them, and will transfer. Could we end up with a full class for 2010?

"what is the total number of recruits we can bring in now?"
Still capped at 25/year. Early enrollees can sway the numbers, as can the elusive gray shirt.
"I would assume a few other people will decide Blue is not the right color for them"
Everybody looks good in blue. But you're right.
"Could we end up with a full class for 2010?"
I'd look for a full class this year.
