SB vs Georgia in Super Regional at 6pm
EDIT: The game is on ESPN2
The SB Team takes on Georgia today at 6pm. We beat the Bulldog--ettes yesterday. One more win out of 2 tonight and we are off to The OKC. The game is on ESPNU.
As most people on MGoBlog know, my daughter is a Staff Sargent in the USAF. She is the Lead Weather Person and has responsibility for the country East of the Mississippi. She gave me the Unofficial MgoWeather Forecast for 6pm in AA. It will be 63 degrees with 28% RH. Winds will be out of the NW at 10 MPH. This may limit our homerun potential however the Indoor Track building does shield the wind somewhat.
Thanks to MGoDaughter for her service and her love of softball, especially M Softball. Everyone please thank a Service Person (Active or Retired) and show them that you appreciate everything they sacrificed for us.
Oh, and Go Blue.
For the sake of clarity:
The Wolverines could play two games tonight.
The first is at 6 p.m.
If we don't win that one, the second game (the deciding game) is at approx. 9 p.m.
and forget about the second one. Anything can happen in the 3rd and final game.
I have nightmres from last year's Super Regional.
Scheduled for ESPNU at 6pm EST but you can never be sure with ESPN.

This is a good warning to all - be sure that ESPN's family of networks airs your game on the channel and at the time that is in fact listed. You would think they would learn from their rather random assortment of programming back in the day, but you can never be sure when ESPN will cover a sudden lawn darts tournament and bump your desired programming even now.
ESPN3 being hot, pixelated garbage really moves the needle for me and my hate for this company.
No, shut up!
There's nothing that I love more than softball and recognizing those that defend our country!
PLUS ONE
Only one Michigan Softball game today, please!
if anyone is interested. I don't think you can embed from MGoBlue, so here's the link.

I'm pretty sure it will be Wagner, but I could definitely get behind starting Betsa. If there really have been nerve issues, that's a strong statement that Hutch believes in them getting it right the first time. Even if things went poorly, I don't doubt that Wagner can go out and win later.
First world problems.

Lousiana up 10-8 in bottom of seventh.
Auburn has bases loaded...2 outs...good hitter at plate
Win or lose on one swing...
bizarre ruling...Auburn awarded free run bc relief pitcher took too many warm-up pitches...
makes it 10-9
Lousiana pitcher rattled...walked in tying run...through ball over catcher's head 10-10
extra innings...auburn was down 5 runs in the bottom of 7 and tied it up
heading to OKC.
ULL is up 10-5, 2 out in the bottom of the 7th --- and they walk SIX straight batters, plus that "free run" in-between.
Auburn has left 19 runners on base in 7 innings. NINETEEN!
10-10 going to the 8th.
Freakish game...I would tend to say no way Lousiana recovers from that kind of meltdown...

ESPN is pulling bullshit again.
This game on ESPNU is in extra innings and their pushover channel ESPNEWS has another game on.

ATTENTION: Game will start on ESPN2 and then move over to ESPNU per twitter.
on business this week. I had a few minutes so I stopped by the UT campus for dinner. I was early so I decided to swing by the softball field to see if I could catch a practice. To my surprise, the UT SB Team was practicing.
I heard the coach say something to the affect of, "If you want to win the World Series, you will have to beat Michigan"
I gave the 10 people in the stands a "Go Blue" as I left for dinner. I would love to see a Michigan/Tennessee Final.
for us. We are visiting team today.

I guess that's what you have to do when you have done no preparation whatsoever.
ESPN announcer: "Many people think that if Michigan can get past Georgia tonight, they have a good shot to get into the WCWS." Well, yes.

She was in studio on ESPNU after the Auburn-ULL fiasco ended.

today. She pitched 133 pitches yesterday.
I still think it's crazy that these girls can pitch so often and so much.
pitching motion is much different than overhand for the men. I have seen pitchers pitch day after day. The key is overall stamina. Most coaches prefer a taller and "bigger" pitcher because they tend to have more endurance.
Smaller, more petite pitchers run out of gas sooner.

Well, then. This is not what we had in mind.

Turned this on as the 1st homer was going out. Maybe I'll turn it off again...
Yikes...3-0 them.
