RUMOR: Ben VanSumeren to Transfer
As title states, Chris Balas from the Wolverine is reporting from "a few sources" that "senior linebacker Ben VanSumeren is likely to enter the portal (if he hasn't already begun the process)"
This would have implications beyond next year's football team, as Ben's brother Alex is a top 10 player in the state of MI and the highest rated commit in UM's 2022 class

Sumer is icumen in? More like Sumer is a moving out, I guess. Regardless of whether this is true or not, I wish him well in all his future endeavors.

Ben just didn’t have a natural position at Michigan. If I’m recalling correctly, he had a really bad fumble against Army that pretty much killed his RB role. Not sure he is a LB either. So I don’t think it’s the worst thing if he finds a program where he can play.

Good luck to him. Not only need more talented players but kids who fit an actual position. He was a head scratching take from the get
