RR visiting Devin Gardner today

Im not sure if this was already known information, but as per Devin Gardners facebook status (yes he happen to be very close, personal facebook friend of mine), Rich Rod is paying him a visit today. It currently reads: "Devin Gardner Has To Go To School Tomorrow On A Half Day Because Rich Rodriguez Is Coming To The High!!..Got The "W" Tonight By 20!!!14 hours ago" I have no idea wut the second part of that status means, but i def like the sound of that first part.

He puts a status up like that for everything recruiting related. I wouldn't put too much stock into it. It's good that he's visiting, but the fact that he wrote that is par for the course.

And RR is not Jim Tressel! We DO NOT pay recruits cash salaries to play football here! Unlike another Big Ten school and coach that I won't mention, which is a little odd, since I already mentioned them earlier in this post...

Bear Bryant was quoted by one of his old coaches as saying "just pay them whatever the going rate is, I don't want to know about it." I have a hard time seeing the harm is giving spending money to a recruit, and trust me I know all the arguments against. I don't want or wish for it, but if it exists, and it helps some kid or parent, I can't work up the moral outrage. Contrarian out.
