Good article. Not that much new information, but an enjoyable read and gives you a little look into Burke's mind.

Most parents pressure their kids to take the money; Burke's advised him to go back to school. I have a feeling that he will be one of those who manages to keep most of his money instead of playing for five years and being penniless after ten.

Suggested thread title change: Rothstein article on Burke's decision last year to return for Sophmore season.
You got me all fired up there for a second until I realized that I had misinterpreted the thread.

You really thought he was going to announce his return for next year at the beginning of February?

Hope leads a man to many irrational conclusions.

If Burke comes back next year it will be a Lewanesque announcement. It would be so suprising i'll refer to it as a Burkesque announcement

Very interesting inside look at that rather pivotal conversation - thanks for sharing this.
You can definitely see the competitive drive in Burke and the success that it breeds in every game in which he plays, and it will definitely serve him well at the next level when he chooses to go there. Trey is very fortunate to have parents that are invested in the intangible aspects of his development as a person as well as a player - they truly want him to maximize his potential, but with a balanced perspective. Still, Burke had an interesting way to put his thoughts on moving to the pros -
"Last year I was kind of seeking it. This year it is more coming my way. It's more, I'm able to focus more on Michigan basketball and staying in the moment."
I would wager that the extra year to develop his game and his leadership skills, as he has become a clear leader as well, will definitely work out well for him if he enters the draft this year.

Re: ambiguous title: maybe after losing to IU he has some more "unfinished business?"
