Rose Bowl Alumni Tailgate

Hey Gang - 

Trying to find some information on this, but can't seem to locate anything real.

Looks like the Alumni Tailgate tickets go on sale today, but not yet apparently.  Does anyone know if you have to be an alumni to purchase these?  If yes, anyone willing to help me out on that front? lol

I've been keeping an eye on this today as well - I refreshed a few times with no luck.  I'm a lifetime alumni member and my son and I are going to the game.  We're staying in Pasadena on NYE, and planning to try to do all the stuff that day, parade, tailgate, game, etc..

Happy to help out if needed and you can't get a ticket on your own.

I know I show up as just having joined today.  I hadn't posted in a couple years and have no idea what my old username was, so I created a new account as I'd wanted to post on some of the recent threads about the rose bowl logistics anyway.

It's better than that - he's 17 and off to college next year.  He'll likely go elsewhere because even though his academics are stellar, the cost differential for M vs other strong academic schools just doesn't justify it.

So we've gone the last hurrah and been to four straight games in person.  PSU, MD, OSU and Iowa.  The Rose just keeps the streak going.  He's been on tv at the Big Noon kickoff twice giving Urban the business, so it's been a memorable month!  Let's all hope the ride continues!

Appreciate the back and forth.  A buddy and I have some interest, depending on the cost (if it's crazy expensive, we'll just get our own stuff for the tailgate).  If you wouldn't mind considering helping, please drop me a note at my email drutkowski 25 @ gmail . com (remove spaces).  Been around the board for a while now (not as active as I once was, kids am I right?) and I've met Seth several times.  A few random others may know me personally as well.. lol.

Trying as well.  I was also wondering how to get e-mail notification about the pep rally on 12/31. On the website is states " An email will go out when they are available" but evidently there's no way to get on the e-mail list. 


FWIW, my wife and I are both lifetime alumni association members and we both have two degrees from Michigan.  We haven't gotten a single e-mail from the alumni association about Rose Bowl trips

Yikes.   Blueson (lifetime member) and us non alums ‘Hooson and wife and I are attending the game.   Tailgate would add up to about another $750.   Three nights at the Courtyard and plane tix are already approaching tuition level (ok for out of state Michigan that’s an exaggeration).

Seth you mentioned possibly a MGoBlog tailgate option?

Aw man, we don't have tickets to the game and just wanted to celebrate at a tailgate before we go watch the game either with some friends or at a bar and then fly home in the second half

Guess we can't tailgate with other alumni...

Note: A Rose Bowl game ticket is required for entry to the tailgate. If you don’t have a ticket to the game, you will not be able to enter the tailgate.*

Well, guess we'll see some people at the 5K and then still try and hit the pep rally if possible
