leave me less than confident, but I loved the phrase "our type" of shape (referencing conditioning).

Easy on the "save" button, buddy.
:)
Sounds like the move to guard could be more likely than previously thought.
This would give us a really solid interior line, though I worry about the tackles. Do we have 2 solid tackles between Ortmann, Omameh, and Dorrestien? Does someone else move outside? Way too early to know, but interesting to think about.
Barnum could very possibly be a tackle, although it doesn't sound like he's pushing for playing time as of now.
But yes, I think we have two solid tackles between Ortmann, Omameh, and Dorrestein. I don't think they would move Schilling to guard if they didn't think they had people who could play tackle. Ferrara and Moosman were playing pretty well toward the end of the year, so the Schilling switch is more of a luxury, in my opinion, than a necessity. They have guys who can play tackle and, therefore, they can take a starting tackle and plug him in elsewhere.
That sounds like a good thing to me.
I wasn't exactly excited to hear that the fumblitis is alive and well.
Why God? Why?
Seriously. I wasn't very confident with this team this year to begin with, but hearing that in the video was pretty disconcerting.
OMG PEOPLE ARE FUMBLING ON THE SECOND DAY OF CONTACT DRILLS! THE SKY IS FALLING!
Well you have a lot riding on this season thinking we are going with like 9 or 10 games. Aka pie in the sky.
When did I say that?
all throwing passes.
I didn't hear anything of the sort in that video. Where did you hear that?
An article saying they threw passes.

RR using every player on the team to find the best QB. I hope this is a sign of him seeing talent in these players, and not short comings in the projected QBs.
Also, I recognize that this is week one of spring practice, and the real season is months away. But c'mon, its a sports blog, and tip off is still 25 minutes away, gotta gripe about something!!

trick plays
Brandin Hawthorne? They mentioned him playing with the DB's because of the spread teams they will play. Maybe he could see some PT this year?
I'm pretty sure RR said, "naw, he's really playing OLB", with the spread teams UM plays, he'll be like a nickel back because of how athletic he is.
I know he said he'll still be at OLB, I was just wondering if maybe we could be seeing his athleticism on the field. Most people believe he's a little small.

Hawthorne might see time on special teams, but I think that's about it. We have enough experienced linebackers and enough talented DB's to let Hawthorne redshirt.

"We have enough experienced linebackers and enough talented DB's to let Hawthorne redshirt." God I hope this is true.
