Well, it's true. Michigan rocks.
Rashad Knight "blown away"
and depending on ones age... Michigan rox.
sounds like some of the ladies are taking after Tennessee.
come on down. You are the next contestant on the Winged Helmet is Right.
thanks for posting this. i just spotted the story on rivals and didn't know how big the news really was.
hope it turns out a little better than aramide olaniyan...
I think only good things can come out of the students rushing the court. An atmosphere like that is amazing. I've been to a few football games where I wish everyone would rush the field. The one that comes to mind for me is the Wisconsin game last year. It was a great comeback, in midst of a terrbile season. I can't remember what they were ranked, but I had a rocking good time.
they left at halftime. all the fun i had watching the game totally disappeared when we rushed the court. completely embarassed. fuck. rushing the court is for watershed moments like against a top 5 team or when we were on the rise last year. we are a tournament team. this is a game we should win!
we are a tournament team.
Maybe when we can sustain winning for a few years this attitude would be correct. However, Michigan basketball has not been good for 15 years. Last I checked, we are 10-7 right now. Hardly a shoe in for the tournament. A win is a win and we should be happy with that and let the students celebrate. Who cares? Just be happy we won and quit being an arrogant ass.
Students, especially the younger ones, haven't had much to get excited about with sports. We beat a pretty damn good team after we've been struggling all season. Let them have their fun. I'm sure the team appreciates it.
Also, as I stated in an earlier thread, at least Rogers stayed for the entire game.
Then, they came back. Or were you too worried about kids enjoying themselves?
Last time I checked, enjoying yourself is one of the more important things one can get/experience out of sports.
soley for the purpose of online gambling.
Who knew? :p
I mean the students rushing. I REALLY can't believe how much flack we're taking for this. I'm glad that we can come up with stuff to complain about. I would rather not have won that game, because we didn't have ANY RIGHT AT ALL to rush that court. (I'm being sarcastic there.)
And you call yourself "All in?"
if we rushed the football field after the competitive loss to Michigan State. Ah, forget it. That was a road game anyway.
rushing the court with Brandon Graham would be terrible and no fun if you're a recruit
This picture is full of win.
great job capturing the moment!
This picture is victory incarnate.
(AKA: made of win, but more proper, don't you know.)
No surprise that he was blown away. Michigan is frickin awesome. Why do you think we all love it so much?
Great news. Let's see if his excitment changes after visits to Ole Miss and Rutgers.
How much of *that* (as pictured above) do they have at Ole Miss and Rutgers?
Everyone always talks about the grove at Ole' Miss. How pretty it is. Now, I like nature, but I'd take that experience on the court at Michigan over a day at Banff National Park! I can't imagine anyone choosing a college over a bunch of trees.
Does everybody see Knight in the spot Woolfolk opened the season at if he was to go Blue ? or somewhere else ?
I hope Woolfolk gets moved back to/stays at safety and Knight can take his time learning the system and getting stronger.
Yeah, he's being recruiting as a strong safety.
FWIW, Sam Webb over at Scout said that Knight is only 5'8" and vinopal is a legit 5'11". Just a tidbit I thought I would share.
When did sam webb join scout?
he's always been at scout.
looks to be around October 2001.
And Rivals rates Vinopal a 2 star prospect.... our lowest rated prospect. And Rivals says that Vinopal is only 5'10".
Moreover, it is not so much that Vinopal is somewhat short for a safety.... it is his frame. He has short, stubby legs. Those limit athleticism. Thus, that is one of the reasons why he looks so stiff on film.... those short, stubby legs. He really has the legs of someone who is 5'7".
Tell us how you feel about his legs.
In response to the two/three star mafioso...I don't give a crap if he has the legs of Verne Troyer if he can make an appropriate zone read on 3rd and 24.
I know it's reserved for trolls or racists, but in this case I'll make an exception--especially for a guy who copy/pastes the exact same bit of idiocy in two different threads.
It would be a very nice get for us...
Him Davion Rogers and Dillon Baxter to close out the class.
i wonder if knight still has a "commitable" offer.
Most definitely. Kid's a player.
I don't think they would have brought him in for a visit at this point if he didn't.
Rich rod tends to pull off a couple steals, such as roundtree (from Purdue) and shaw (from Penn State). Knight might have missed the boat, because we are in the mix highly rated guys such as Parker, maybe Torrian Wilson, and other recruits (Baxter and the mysterious OL). We also got another commitment today, from Damion Rogers.
We also can't overlook the fact that we've been lucky so far that we haven't had any decommitments. Unfortunately, I'm expecting a couple negative surprises in the next couple weeks. I don't know who, but somebody always seems to waver. We had a bunch in 2009, a few in 2008, a couple in 2007, etc. This would be the first class in a while not to suffer a decommitment (Witty and Drake don't really count as "decommits" from my viewpoint, since they didn't qualify).
the two kids who ended up going to maryland whose names shall not be spoken were sort of "soft decommits"
They were never committed (unless they were silent commits), and only one (Murphy) has committed to Maryland. The other (Grimes) is still undecided.
I hear Florida is going after that Gardner kid... Really hope we don't lose him...
There will probably be surprises both ways. Sometimes, though, I think "decommits" come after a heart-to-heart with RR as players of a higher talent level come in, something along the lines of, "We'll honor your scholarship offer, but the numbers really aren't looking good for you getting a lot of playing time. You may be happier taking that offer from [insert directional school name]."
Does Knight have any more visits? I hope not. If he makes his decision with Michigans awesomeness fresh in his mind that might make his decision in our favor.
Knight visits Ole Miss and Rutgers the next two weeks. We will see come NSD.
We must have really enthusiastic hostess's for our recruits to be "blown away" on their visit.
Sorry, i couldn't help myself.
Hence, "blown away."
