Profile of WBB incoming freshman
Here's a nice profile of women's basketball incoming freshman Taylor Woodson, who committed to Michigan over Minnesota, where her dad played football. Connection with KBA and the culture at UM helped secure the commitment. Apparently she was good enough to make Varsity as a 7th grader and started on a state championship winning team in 8th grade. She was injured for the beginning of her senior season, but came back and has been playing well.
Great last name, comes from a top program, good athletic "pedigree", championship experience... what's not to like about her Michigan commitment!
I'm hopeful that KBA is getting the women's basketball program very close to championship territory, it's been a long slow climb.
Google up WBB recruiting and it seems the WBB program has 3 top 100 ESPN commits.
for 2023, yes - and two top-25s for 2024, including a top-10.
KBA continuing to do fantastic things with WBB. Go Blue!
Nice profile. Thanks for posting.
Bonus: she comes from a town on the list of all-time great names, Minnetonka.
KBA is doing a great job. She came to a program that had zero tradition in WBB with nothing to sell but Maize & Blue, Michigan and herself. I think it helps that she really likes being here. It is a slow climb to the elite of WBB but we're just outside of the elite and finding our way in.
